This is some bullshit platforming. The clearance for a lot of jumps is absurd. Very early you need to learn chained wall jumps into a dashes and the keybindings are ass.

Like the other person said, it's the charge stats.
Basically, the game automatically charges your [BIG SHOT] after a period of time not shooting your gun. Kinda like Mega Man and whatnot, but the game does it for you instead of you holding the shoot button.
CHG reduces this period of time, that's what it does.

Lol you guys had to remind me of this one, I dropped it long ago to never try again in any non-distant future - but now I was like "oh, I remember something was off with this, but I guess it is worth another try since I hadn't deleted it for some reason...". Finally, I've beaten it! No idea if I missed anything, although I did backtrack a lot - but at least I've found the four weapons (guess there can be a secret fifth one though) and the last boss. Cute thing indeed, although the platforming is dead hardcore mostly! Even the bosses didn't give me as much trouble as some of the climbing sections, very rage-quittable at times indeed
