Be careful when using UnRen as it's not always 100% effective at decompiling. A few games have resulted in corrupted/broken files after unpacking, and with how large LR2 is it's safer to download the master branch from the git page (~1.7 GB).
Modders probably won't take the time to make the development branch of this game compatible with JoiPlay due to how oftens updates are made. You can try reaching out to one, but chances are they'll tell you to wait until the next major release.
Yes, every game file is there, they just haven't been compiled and packaged. You can just drop the file into the proper game directory and it will override the file that is already packaged in the current install... Ren'Py compiles loose files when the game is launched. It couldn't really be any easier.
