Ran into a issue I think. I tried looking back through the post and haven't seen it mentioned yet.

I just started this recently. I added the U2 patch right away before I started reading through. No mods.

Everything seems to be fine until last night when I got to chapter 10. I think it started at part 2 but not positive.

The main issue is it seems like a whole bunch of story is missing, with a secondary issue of the MC name being missing.

MC name is blank and is referred to as "None" by all the characters.

For the missing story, It seems to start when MC and Jess are in their room for sexy time and get a call from the Russian girls at the diner about a emergency. It then goes straight to MC at their house for sexy time with a mention of her dancing at the club, then jumps to MC in the bathroom by Stan and Del and something about Angel being punished.

I re-download the U1 and the patch and was planning on just re-reading through without the patch first, starting from my last manual save which was several hours before chapter 10 as I don't know what the patch added, but I wanted to check first if anyone else ran into this to make sure I'm not just wasting my time.

That jump in the story was because of the gallery mod.

No mods.... at least I don't remember adding any.
PC version on Win 10. No errors or anything that pop up and no issues at all up to that point in the story.

I don't think I added that mod but It's been several weeks since I first downloaded it. I will try it again with the fresh download.

Yeah, try and see. I think all that used the mod had that problem. removing it fixed it.

From the behavior it looks a lot like what the incompatible/outdated galerie mod does. Have you used it before and the save you're using was done with it? If so, try to load an earlier save.
Could also try to delete presistent file (both in %appdata% and in the game folder). And if nothing helps, delete all saves and the speed through with skip enable until you are where you were.

I don't remember adding the gallery mod but it is possible I guess. My last manual save is a few hours earlier in the story so I will try from there with the fresh download.

I'm curious, for the bike models in this, did the dev draw them himself or are they a stock asset from somewhere?

Being a Harley guy myself, I really appreciate the "attention to detail" if you will, on them. Some of them would actually make for a nice real world ride

They are assets he bought, but modified. I think you may have fixed the problem when you re-downloaded v10 part 4 U1 The uploaders got some things jumbled up a bit at first and there were several versions of "fixing things" before it all settled down. I don't know the details. If you are using the Win/Linux(v10 Part 4 U1) full game with the UO(v10 Part 4 U1 > v10 Part 4 U2) patch that are currently on the OP you should be fine. I have no clue if you will need to start over... It depends on what corrupted your save files... or not...

You mean that you don't need to download V10P4U1 and update the game with the V10P4U2 patch to V10P4U2?
Most likely then when and if a uploader take the time to download both "install" the patch and then upload it. As how busy they are, I guess never.
Could be that Dima make a full release at some point - my guess is after we have all the betas for V10P4 and he didn't go for V10P5.

The few issues between your reply and this response are why I prefer a full download versus a patch. Plus, it's less confusing and easier to manage. I would have no problem just waiting until the final version comes out or dropping it.

Wait, I would have a problem dropping the game since I really like the story. Besides, it shouldn't take long to provide the full version (unless you are using an old modem).

It doens't take much time, but the uploaders have even less time and are scant. They give higher priority to upload new updates and such than to generate a "complete" donwload for it. Best chance you have for such a thing is directly ask one of them to do it.

It's my first playthrough, and I got to the part where I choose to deal with JD, and Jessie drops the MC off at Angie's, and Angie keeps talking about how the MC & Jessy fucked Brooke, and how Jessy needs to be punished for cheating on Angie, but that never happened in my playthrough. One of the comments I saw asking about this was back from 2020. Has this been borked since then? Is there a fix somewhere?

That's kind of an inconsistancy issue, the beginning of the game has two routes: Blue which is good and Red which is bad(but not in a bad way). You probably picked mostly blue options but when it came time to deal with JD you picked the red one, so the game acts like you've been picking red options all along.

the first 2-3 chapters (until MC travels West to Berdoo) are on the list to be reworked
now when that is happening is unknown and probably not anytime soon.

It most likely is a bug yes.
Dimitri has stated that he centers the game around the player at least accepting all Girls when possible, the only other variable seems to be "watersports" which if not seen since i opted out.

I doubt there is a fix,i suggest you just ignore it,as we might see Brooke again in a future update but until the latest content she will not be present again aside from a mention or two.

Well, I picked all the blue options, and got the early ending, but then went back and chose the "Deal with JD" red option. Also, as I've been playing further, Jessy keeps talking about leaving with the MC, but not Tracy. Must be another inconsistency. Damn, that sucks about Brooke, she was pretty hot. Hotter than Angie, IMO.

Well, few of us are still waiting to have Karen back in Berdoo. I see you motseer, if you say again that I need to defrag my HDD I will tell Master Luke about you.

Also, as I've been playing further, Jessy keeps talking about leaving with the MC, but not Tracy. Must be another inconsistency. They had definitely decided to share the MC at the motel the night before.

Sharing the MC and leaving town together are two different things. Also Jessy seems to be very free and mostly have little commitments where Tracy has actually a job and most likely own also more than hee. So her jumping directly into her station wagon and following behind Ryker makes no sense.
It would make more sense that she first see to her job and properties before going out of town for unkown time. Also what will happen with Shithead if she jump town? Does she take him with her even if she doesn't know if the new place, after how long that even takes, does allow her to have him?

The only issue is that Angie shouldn't be talking about fucking Brooke and their history if you didn't fuck Brooke. There were choices you should have made (mainly flirting with Brooke) if you wanted to have the threesome or foursome with Brooke, Jessy and then Brooke, Jessy and Tracy.

The small glitch with Angie's dialogue is something that was discussed in detail a long time ago and fans agreed they would rather have Dima continue to the end of chapter 1 before taking time to go back and fix such a small problem. Most folks choose the threesome at the hotel so never even know about the dialogue glitch with Angie.

It is definitely worth going back to get the scenes at the motel with Brooke.

In defense, I assume, that at that time only a few would have know that this is only happen after v10 part 69 update 42 is released.
