There are tons of games with a whole lot worse (like 50 times as bad). That's why I thought the statement was so laughable. Homie has zero understanding of the term grind if he thinks this is even remotely excessive really.

there is literally no grind tho... all the "side" activities are 100% optional, you don't need to do a single one to "beat" the game. buddy is complaining about grind he choose to do LOL

Yep. The stuff like with the teacher is optional and not part of the main story, for example. It's a silly complaint IMO.

I also get that error. But, if I put the 'fix2.zip' contents in the game folder, then I get this error when starting the game (the game itself doesn't even start anymore):

Are you sure you only have one location.rpy file in game/scripts? Can you check in game and its subfolders?

that's kinda strange opinion. why should i even look at worst? is "sweet summer child" a sort of insult? doesnt work
also:
Grinding is a term used in video game culture, referring to the act of repeating an action or set of actions, including non-repetitive tasks to achieve a desired result at a level of certain difficulty, typically for an extended period of time, such as earning experience points, in-game loot and currency or to improve a character's stats.
that's exactly what you do repeatedly in this game. anyway, you cant force me to play or pay the game i dont like. so, have fun and good luck.
