Sometimes I wonder if the idiots in here or in his discord who constantly bring up the forbidden subjects have enough brains to figure out that there are most likely gonna be spies keeping an eye out for that kinda stuff...
LOL you think they have time/manpower for that? thats funny... even if they did have the manpower for that you think they would waste money on doing that? Lmfao

their system is very simple after a threshold of a certain amount of reports thats when they put the page on hold then its up to the dev to prove the reports are false or make changes as needed sometimes they will get someone to view the product before just putting the page on hold to see if theres any truth to reports but 99% of the time their just too lazy to do that (well mostly they just don't have the time), if it keeps happening then thats when they actually get someone to check it out.

its basically just an auto moderation system.

Unless you mean "Spies" as in a random person thinking they are doing some civic duty by reporting "Oh no the boobies!!" in which Case I concede there are unfortunately probably those people lurking around.
That's basically what I meant.
I'm not that naive to think patreon has the resources to comb through all the forums, sites and discords to find offending material.

i played 0.20 and then 0.23. In 0.20 when you go to Natsuko's apartment there are options to have ex in her bedroom and watching her pee. When selected it says it's under construction, but now when you go to her you don't have the option and it seems like her story is over. Anyone knows if that content will be added?

well if it isn't there yet then doubt it since she left town it's unlikely.

I highly doubt Patreon has employees searching the internet for content for any instances of guideline violations. Spending hours upon hours searching Discord / forums / websites for something that probably won't be there for the majority of the pages. The sheer amount of Patreon pages ( over 200,000+ content creators ) would make that an almost impossible task and a waste of resources and time when they probably get a good amount of disgruntled patrons and self righteous people reporting things anyways.

They probably also have the minimum number of employees hired to man their enforcement group. Doubt they have the time to do anything beyond reviewing pages after they are reported since it seems to take days to even respond to the content creators about changes.

The lewdlab review process pissed me off to no end when they delayed responding to verify the changes until after the paycycle had passed.

I just.. god I wish Patreon would just go away.. it's like an abusive relationship for some adult game developers. They keep coming back only to get slapped again later.

The simple answer is Patreon doesn't want to take down smut. Looking for it costs them money, reviewing it costs them money, not having it on their platform costs them money. They will work hard enough at it to keep moral crusaders off their backs. That's all they care about.

thats very naive to believe a random website is combing the depths of the internet in the off chance someone is breaking their ToS scratch that not naive, paranoid more like it... no website is doing that. Patreon relies on user reports plain and simple thats about as "far" as their resources reach.

even if the attempt doing what you suggest they will find themselves in a legal battle pretty dam quickly for cyberstalking. they have 0 control and 0 authority outside of their own platform what your suggesting is like saying pornhub stalks everyones FB and discord to make sure everyone is 18+ (psst they don't)

sure if his patreon supporters are willing to move to subs.
i mean if they truely want to support im sure they will.. i can't see the guys paying over $40 just going "nah not worth it" they'ere already committed.. No doubt he'll lose some subs over the lower paying ranks cause who wants to go through the hassle of new payment system and account for a few bucks? then probably another small % due to the people who sub and forget.

but im sure he'd still make good money from SS if thats the only way to support.

If it was so simple, why do all the porn devs stay on Patreon?
At least for many people, the ability to use Paypal is a great plus for Patreon.

because patreon is a site everyone knows and trusts (since is pretty much the first one) subscriberstar not so much, its known here well because we all talk about through the forums and etc but to the "average" person its just about it being on steam or patreon they don't really know the other sites or trust them, so devs stick with patreon cause its 100% the better option to attract subs, but we are taking about a game that already has name for itself so its no longer in the "attract members" stage its just getting some to transfer over, and if a dev they trust (surely they have to trust him a bit if they're shilling out $40+ a month to him) informs his subs its the only way moving forward and to trust the site a good chunk will follow

As to my point about pateon be well known and being the first which is why its used more as an example years ago when FB first came into the mix people didn't trust it either for awhile and we all stuck with MySpace for a good while until word of mouth of FB starts to get good and more people tranfered then we all switch over same with MSN vs Skype, as humans we tend to stick with what we know and generaly try to avoid change into the "unknown" so to speak

so generally speaking it would just take a chunk of devs to switch over and the crowd will follow naturally since us human are a herd animal after all.

edit: forget to mention the general stigma of actually supporting porn, saying you sub on patreon could literally mean you're subbed to anything but when the charge says "Subscriberstar Adult" there is no doubt of what you're paying for/supporting seem silly people would care but alot of people do for some reason (but i admit thats probably just a minor thing) So its more socially acceptable to be subbed on patreon then subscriberstar. (public image, patreon all audiences, subscriberstar geared towards Adult audiences) Might as well announce you have a paid prnhub account (which majority of people wouldn't admit despite everyone using porn hub Lol)

Well, last years gamefound is attracting most big names in board game industry.
We just have a game that made more than 12 millions.
