try using lains mod. it is a walkthrough kinda sort of to make sure you get all the steps done so you can continue on. start with a fresh unzip of 12 do not unzip over an old game that might help.. hope this helps

Same, ive tried all scenes and places at each time of the day but nothing moves this along, anyone have the answer or is it a bug?

Yeah I tried all that, it was talking with Logan at the pool in the morning and then checking his room on the night to finish his story line, once i had done that and slept and skipped to the afternoon it then had the new option of watching TV alone.
I was having the same issue. I think the order is scene with dad in Kitchen, then parents in study, talk to brother and then investigate brothers room.
