He literally said that one of his workstations is cranking out remastered renders on autopilot and he is working on MP.
In the public post he was aiming for a march update. now this is unlikely with it being the 30th. I do think it will happen any day

"Next Monday(or Tuesday) I'll be able to tell you a release date too. Until then, more previews during the week." Another missed deadline for Dr. Sin it seems like.

Still a day in the USA west coast for example. (we dont even know the timezone he lives in lol)

how do you know def not usa? tbf I suspected he was eastern european or something but he never disclosed
First of, his posting times. Not the time that American would do. Second, even though he has really good English language, it is not his first language. Can be seen from the grammar fails he makes all the time. With those, and how he described the lockdowns during the year, I'd say he is French.

Dr. Sin:
"And I made a new character too. I know MP has more than enough female characters already, but it was necessary and she won't steal other ladies' screen times."

Hmmm, a new character... why not use an existing one tho? There is so many characters that could have filled this role. I know it would be hard at this point, but why didn't he give this role to one of the characters that's already in the game? Like Isabel or ex-girlfriend, or the aunt, or whoever. He says she won't take any other ladies' screen time, but this is already happening all the time in the game. Where is the friend whose name I have already forgoten, because it's been so long since we've seen her? Now we have a ton of unimportant characters to the main story, because almost none of them are involved or get involved for a few moments and than disappear from the game for a long ass time. You don't have any time to get invested into the characters or get attached to them. In the DoD, the cast was just large enough to have good amount of screentime for the characters and to involve them into the story and to have time to bond with them. In MP, you can't bond with them, because they're not there most of the time. The characters don't seem alive and close to the MC at all because of this. :-(

And now there is a new character, because the already established ones can't fill that role anymore, since their role has been so poorly written into the story. There are some really bad narrative decissions here, in my opinion. Almost like he is making the story as he goes instead of planning it out. In one of my previous posts in this thread, I made an outline of how I would make this story and it involved all the family members, scrapped half of the cast and merged their roles together to create fewer, but much more involved characters that would get enough screentime in every chapter instead of disapperaing for 5 episodes, reappearing for brief moment just to disappear again.

The renders are still nice, tho. Even though they remind me of how much better fap material this game could have been with a more thought out story.

It was made clear in the early phase of the game, that Raymond is really conservative kind of man so he doesn't want either of his daughters to have anything to do with his company, but only his sons. So this obviously leaves Isabel out of it who was mentioned to work somewhere else, and Ruby works for Connor so she is a no go also. Auntie has her own business, so obviously she can't be in this position. Joyce is also working somewhere else. Melissa doesn't seem like a character who could work in such company or even in such position where this new character is supposed to be working. That leaves only Eliana available, but since she has been out of the Midnight City in a different school for some time, she can't be the one for this role because Dr. Sin let us understand that this character is supposed to be someone who has worked in this company for some time, since she is stated to be needed for the main plot.

This is the biggest problem that this game has. It is not released in chapters or even acts, because it's "sandbox" game, so instead it's just released in separate updates that gives you x-amount of content instead of having some linear progress where everything and everyone are tied together, like in DoD. And now, when there is going to be the real separation of the characters since you can avoid someone or just focus on one character, with upcoming 10+ endings... Here is a possibility that it is something really amazing or then just mere mess.

I think you're almost right but I'd say Belgian, judging by the way he writes.
Definitely not Brit nor American.
Let's start a survey, just for fun but it could be interesting if Dr. Sin himself would agree to eventually reveal his nationality

I'm more concerned about recent delays than about his nationality, thou...
It makes me think he possibly has lost interest in his creation or he doesn't have a clear planning with the story and the character development.
As usual my two cents.

I don't think he has lost his interest in the project since he all the time has new stuff to introduce for it, but I wouldn't be too sure about the fans or other people being interested in this project if this keeps going on for longer. I mean it's already been six months without an proper update and that is way too long, no matter how much he is telling about all the nice things of his project. Instead of just telling what you do, how about showing it too.

Although I do also agree that it's not looking good from his point, since there is delays already in just basic Patreon posts also. It was expected to happen when he announced the "three posts a week" schedule that he will miss most of them since there really is not enough to talk about it weekly and that had happened already earlier when he had the same schedule. He is still posting weekly, or at least almost weekly, but he really is not saying much, since there really is not too much to say, other than empty promises that is. Even last year, despite the monthly releases, there was still multiple delays, whenever the reason was him moving, his coder having a bad month, Daz Studio doing some wanky shit... and this year he has already had back problems/rectum problems and now the covid. I don't really want to accuse him for anything, because I don't know his situation for sure, but it just starts to feel that there is more and more excuses coming why there is no progress or why the progress takes too much time. I understand that it is only one person making the renders and planning all of this and he has his own life with his girlfriend and all, but I really can't avoid the bad thoughts of intentional delaying raising out as the time passes and delay after another just comes. Since he has pretty good reputation, and his quality is good, almost none of his patrons are questioning any of these delays. I also understand that he wanted to do the DoD polish up, but I can't help but think was it really necessary thing to do right now, when this current project was at so unfinished state.

I know that their individual stories are incompatible with the main plot so far, or at least the role of the new character. My problem is, and I said it in my comment, that those characters are written in a way that they can't be a part of the story now. If they were written with the main story in mind, it would have been possible to incorporate them into it much better. Now they are completely separate. So far it's a total mess and it doesn't seem to be getting in line. I think that they will play some side role in the main story, but they should have played a major role in the main plot, imo. It doesn't make me care for the plot, because it doesn't involve the love interests. And because love interests aren't involved in the plot, character interactions with them are mundane and cookie cutter.

I was thinking about this when I wrote the post, and I can only hope, that it will work more organically in later part of the game when it's finished. So far it's very disjointed no matter how you play. Even if I play all the "character questlines" simultaneously, switching between them, I don't see much connection between other characters and other stories. Only very superficial ones, like their family status or backstory, which also is not reflected in the game's actual story that much, mostly in mentions.

Hey, I am still hopeful for this game. I criticize it, because I want it to be great.
