So Dr. Sin said Lain was unresponsive for twelve days before he decided to call her out. We can suppose the delay to be at least those twelve days plus the time to update the new member on how to do things. Let's say 15 days starting from November 26th. Did he wrote something about the release date? It should be next weekend, 11th or 12nd December, if my logic is not wrong and he didn't just make an excuse up.

Last real update was 0.12, I don't want even remember how useless and frustrating was 0.13 and 0.14 was no more than a way to keep players quiet.
They finished the same game twice, with few problems while working on it.

They are still searching for the new coder. Doctor said that update was delayed to december in his last patreon post, but i bet the if this happen will be by the end of december

"Well, it is not a fast process. We wrote to several people and for various reasons it did not work out with most of them. Right now, we are waiting to see the results from one potential candidate, and then we will know more. Whether we need to keep looking or not." So they haven't yet found a new coder, and after they find a new coder, he will need to get around how Lain has coded it before. So I would say that the December release was just hopeful thinking from Dr. Sin, just like the release of DoD DE in March was hopeful thinking from him.

I bet we will read again and again he hasn't find a new coder, then he found one and they need time to sort code out, then again that it's Xmas time...
I don't know if the milking is worth the idea people are having about Dr. Sin's remarkably bad management skills or he really lacks them.
In the business I work for I manage a few people, and I have to have a backup plan, meaning a backup resource, or we'd lose money.
And when we fire someone we already have hired a new worker.
I think I should start a new Pat*eon based business, where if I don't deliver, and some resources are missing, the cashflow will stay unaffected.
one version release per 2 years ... good job ... throw more money to this slacker dev

I just hope while he's waiting on a new programmer. He can go ahead and animate more scenes so it be a big ass update instead of one family member.
