I'm currently on 'First Steps' having finished going thru the sewers with Eliana however to advance the Quest or Goal you are suppose to 'message' Eliana from your room. Problem is every time I open the Phone there is no way to contact her as there is no Eliana showing up in Messages, or Contacts, or Phone. Is this a bug or have I missed something. As is this is unplayable for me. Everything else in the Quest or Goal list states to further the main story which I assume is 'First Steps'. Any help would be appreciated.

Updated my mod post with directions.installation path please tell me.
As a heads up, generally when you open the file in WinRar and look at the folder structure you will generally be able to tell where a mod needs to go.
Downloaded the updated walkthrough/cheat mod and I'm not getting the new scenes. My old saves error out when I load them so I started a new game and it's telling me that I've unlocked everything up to .15

If you came from Lain's 0.14 Mod (or earlier) then yes it is highly recommended to Start a New Game with my current mod to ensure no issues but if you didn't say Yes when it asks you if this is your first time playing the game then that could happen.
I'll update my mod's instructions about this.

I think you guys may have misunderstood what the Mod does. It is not a basic Walkthrough, it was originally made by Lain who was also the game's programmer. She and the devs added extra scenes/content to the game if you had her Mod installed besides the usual of telling your when and where to go to do abc/xyz. After I took over the Mod I added a lot more context to the when and where section but also started adding some cheats including the ability to date both Melissa and Eliana with the Walkthrough helping you with that.

...Only playing this because of the pdf walkthrough, unfortunately, it seems to be off from the point when Ms Jane was "sick" because after this she is pissed off and gone and the next tasks are not coming. (no fan of open world useless clicking and searching for progress
The Walkthrough / Cheat Mod will help you find just about everything besides the added content and cheats it supplies.

I'm planning on releasing an update to the Mod a little bit alter that will tell you all the when and where for the extra (kinda hidden) spots for the Lain Mod only extra content for those who have not found them all during the game's playthrough.

I'm having an issue where after I have sex with the maid, it just pushes me back out to the main menu.
Sorry if this has been addressed elsewhere. I searched using quite a few different filters, but nothing came up. Anyone know what I can do to fix?

So I tried the game again after... brrrr over 1.5 years! Wow time flies.
Anyway, I tried the game again and convinced myself to find 3 nice things to say about it (other than the good graphics and the sexy female models which I guess everyone agrees on).
So after starting all over and getting to V.0.15 (which I had never played) let's see if I can make it:
- Nice thing no. 1: That new song in the menus is sick! I love it. Perhaps it doesn't suit the game theme that much but it's definitely better than that flashy crap that there was before.
- Nice thing no. 2: Isabel fun. Isabel is the best, as are most older roommates in "landlady and roommate" games because it is known that
On the flipside, the fact that sex with Isabel was implemented before any other hmmm... "household" member makes me think that the dev considers her the least valuable of the three, his least favourite, or at least the least milkable. He's and always will be like that. Will get to that later again.
- Nice thing no. 3: There's no futa yet! What does it have to do with the game? In theory, nothing! But I couldn't come up with a 3rd nice thing to say so this will have to do. Besides, as of late futa has been ruining games left, right and center, so it's good that we have 0 futa in this one. WELL DONE, DEV!
Other than this, the game is still the same nonsensical slideshow of hot female characters, but now with a brand-new phone device! And many booty calls! WOW!
The mc is still the same garbage he always was.
The mechanics are as stupid as they used to be.
The best scenes are still in the gallery, outside normal gameplay. Devoid of context or emotion. Really nice.
Animations look much worse than I remembered. No doubt, this is due to the fact that many other devs have increased the quality of theirs exponentially while Lewdie's stagnated like 2 years ago. They seem more unnatural, excessively fast-paced and boring than lots of what you can see today. That BJ by Isa... jesuschrist, what a missed opportunity. What a heap of robotic crap.
And lastly the best girl, Isa, got raped. The best idea the dev could come up with.
I 100% doubt he would have done anything remotely similar to Joyce. I'm 2000% sure.
And it pains me (not really, you know, it's just an expression). It's seems Isabel is like an appetizer that you enjoy or even don't mind sharing while waiting for the main course and dessert.

Thanks for the info on your Mod. I decided to load the mod before starting a New Game and it worked just fine with my 2 saved games. In fact, it brought All tasks to current status simply by being in the right place at the right time. Thanks.

For those who using the Lain/Lord Ashram mod and are not playing with the default name.
I've cleaned the scripts of all hard coded "Connor", so you should only see the name you have chose in the game.
If you play with the default name, you can save yourself the time for the download.
