Anyone else remember that time when the update was stalled because a coder needed to be hired? It was like a 2 month period where the dev could have been rendering and creating content to get ahead while searching for a coder. You would think that the dev would already be far along with the current updates.

"people assume that everydev's goal on patreon is to amass as much money and supporters as possible"
And ppl assume corectly that's exactly the main goal, this guy is such a jokester:LOL:

"gone are the days when i'm simply trying to increase the numbers of patreon by any means"
:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: easy for him to say that now from the comfort of over 2k patreons, i swear man some devs talk to us like we are some retards, the patronizing on this one is high....

The goal is clearly amass some supporters and hold one to that passive income as long as possible with doing as little as possible.

The problem with Patreon is they have one set of rules for everyone of those that use Patreon. Music groups, video reactors, artiest and game devs. That doesn't work. Just posting on Patreon is not enough for game devs. There needs to be updates to the game at least within 2-4 months.

They probably dont even care as long as they pull the revenues from the commissions, if they wouldve done that would mean less game devs patreon pages will survive which means less commissions for the patreon crooks :WeSmart:

But see that is the problem. Patreon acts as if the Devs are their customer. Wrong. The Supporters of Devs are Patreon's customers. The rules should benefit the Supporters not the Devs.

Both patreon + devs want exactly the same thing, same objective = take as much money as they can from supporters' pockets, they are working together, benefitting together from taking money from people, with zero principles, zero shame.

This will never improve, until the payment is made PER update, instead of time-interval fixed payment.

If the devs make shit updates, they stand to make maybe some less money, and it will be easier to spot scammers. Not a perfect solution, but miles ahead of this retarded time-interval fixed payment concept.
