For those complaining about how small this update is, I can tell you that at least PART of it is the switching from Ren'Py 7.4.11 to Ren'Py 8.0.3. This required both learning the changes and implementing the changes. The game code was definitely at least partially re-wrote and overhauled and that takes time.


This also means that this is also going to take me some time to get the WT/Cheat mod updated. Hopefully it won't take too long but keep in mind I still have doc appointments this week for my cancer treatment, so No ETA but again I'll try to get this out ASAP.


Hopefully now that the game code has been updated to the latest version of Ren'Py and also partially overhauled, it won't take nearly as long for updates. If it does then it shows that Lewdlab has gone full Farmer Brown and milking his Patreons like a bunch of cow tits, otherwise it just shows the long time in between the last update and now was from the moving to the latest version of Ren'Py which does take some time since it's also a change in Python too.

Dev lost patrons, and whenever this happens, games we thought were abandoned miraculously get updated. Not saying it's a funny coincidence, but this method usually works. Wonder what would happen if devs like him lost a lot of patrons after every long delay.

My guess is that this game would have been finished a LONG time ago if it wasn't sandbox. A shame since I know Lewdlab is cabable of producing excellent games. Midnight Paradise has good scenes, but I hate that it's a sandox.

It's the main purpose of this whole sandbox bullshit. Lazy devs like him use it as an excuse to stretch out the dev as long as possible to milk their supporters. I'm not saying that all sandbox or free roam games are plain bad, boring and dev by lazy devs, coz games like BaDIK would contradict me, but I'm pretty sure that most of his supporters would be ok if he removed it for good and only focused on the canonical story and the sex scenes.

I think you missed the point, it still requires work to change/fix the game code going from 7.4.x to 8.0.x. The game has a lot of game code so this takes time. But since I'm not going full F95 and shitting on devs then you can't comprehend that.

Either way, as I said if the updates begin to come sooner then it shows what one the major reasons for the time in between updates was, if not then yes Lewdlab went Farmer Brown. We shall see.

This isn't the only game where old saves didn't work.Chasing Sunset,Returning to mia had similar issues. We may see more and more devs updating Renpy version and hence more and more saves may not work for old games.

Lewdlab really wants his fans to bump up the thread, and since his 'amazing' work's quality is a lil above shit, this is the best way to do it. It worked pretty good with that Isa rape 'oopsie', so he's testing the waters again.

That sounds all fair and good, but you still didn't tell us WHO asked him to do that and WHY he decided to do it now, if he didn't know much about RenPy 8.0.3. I could give less than a shit about 'improvements' like this when there's a story that barely progressed in the last 5 or so updates, and that only happened bcz ppl were getting tired of his lies and called him out on his bullshit, so this 'major' change could've been made after Lewdlab finished the damn game and only if he wanted to add a few new scenes or things to the story like he did with DoD's Remastered version or he could've kept the new versions strictly for his new games. Think ppl care more about a bullshit switch to a new version of RenPy than seeing how the story unfolds and the women get fucked by the MC, coz I don't think they do ??
