Now that he's using actual animations, it's going to take a bit of work without reducing the quantity of renders. 2 to 3 months for an update of this quality, is pretty good. 3 to 6 months are pretty normal for a 1 man team. Also, his IRL job is still more important. Job security, benefits and higher pay beats the money he gets off this. Just relax, it'll come when it comes.
