Just my 2 cents about the QTE issue that have been mentioned here : QTE, from a pure game design perspective, might not be the best option for a goal like "increasing difficulty" in a porn game, especially so in sex scene, where you can expect a good chunk of the player being in a "one-handed" situation at this moment and more focused on the art than their keyboard. This kind of gameplay could lead to a bad kind of frustration (unlike volontary frustration which push the player to re-try harder).

If possible, I'd recommend to maybe change the type of QTE you use in these scene, making it require less attention spliting from the players, both from the art and also making it conveniant to complete with one hand.

For exemple limiting it to only the direction keys of the keyboard (kinda like music games : hit the right key at the right time).

Or with the mouse (like clicking on a certain spot quick enough, or chosing the correct answer amoung different option within a limited time)
As well as making sure the graphical part is integrated in the scene in a way so that it neither require the player to look somewhere else on his screen and neither making it hide the sex animation.
Or maybe dividing the QTE in differents part, so that the player can fully watch and enjoy each animation for as long as he want before clicking "next" and doing the QTE to unlock the next animation.

Just a couples idea I though of on the spot, I'll stop here to not make a bigger text wall than it already is.

If interactivity is key for them i would just suggest keeping the mashing space mechanic for increasing animation speed thus giving the player control of the scene and also having that interactivity factor. That way we can enjoy the scenes, because the way it's done right now, as you said it's detracting attention from the cool animations they implemented.

Afaik they mentioned something about cinematic mode. Hopefully that would be something like keeping the QTE but after the mini game is done we can enjoy the scene at the end and replay it as much as we want until we can exit from it.

I know that's a problem we will try to solve... I have some ideas on how to do that:
1) QTE on space button, that should be pressed when Ashley moans.
2) showing a small ring that scales to the center of the screen waiting to press space button so it won't be disturbing and players will get used to timings...
3) Highlighting with slight gradient on top,left,right,left sides of the screen using same WASD buttons...

There will also be forced interactions and it would be challenging to avoid them... I'm sure RPG doesn't mean that you will avoid every problem on your path. But ok, we will try to make forced interactions to be more obvious to trigger...

So I've been trying it out and I gotta ask; besides the train and speaking to the 3 people in the dorms, what is there to do in this current release besides fighting the urge to piss myself every 5 minutes?

This is horrible. I went into the train bathroom and became instantly trapped. The entire game locks up on the very first event. Cannot interact with anything but the toilet and the door which has been locked. Cannot do anything whatsoever less than 1 min into the game. Nothing does anything except tell me the door is locked and I don't want to pee. Worst game design I have ever seen. I spent 15min in there trying to find absolutely anything that would do something. There is absolutely nothing that can be done. You can walk around the bathroom forever, that's it.

On a personal note the peeing thing is not something I am interested in. Can we please get a toggle for this?

You need to pick up the magazine on the floor under the door and read it from your inventory.

How this is a constant problem is kinda baffling to me. Are people playing with their cameras titled up to the ceiling without listening to the audio and also not reading the subtitles? There are three whole clues about what to do.

i didnt see anything regarding that. I had no clue what the fuck is going on when the game told me the door is closed. If it did say its locked or blocked or anything, i'd have paid more attention on the surroundings but the beginning is horribly clunky.

and if she ignores the hunger need she will get underweight.

so far the notes state you'll lose stamina, but either way i want an option to override the whole system even if it means i have to accept pay cuts. or i'll freeze the memory values. either way...

the 'clues' are still shit since at the same time the "page" sound is audible the quest pops up which i confused as a notification sound. with all that junk lying around in the restroom and the fairly high over-the-shoulder camera i simply overlooked the appearance of said magazine. it is obvious the fucker would try something with a name such as peeper, but not being able to lock or even actualy automaticaly locking the restroom door as a girl made no sense at all. The notification that door is "closed" instead of locked is a no go as well, and even then seeing as we just exposed her ass to the air wouldnt make sense - "of course the door is locked when we go to the throne" would be logical reaction, having people look into how to unlock the door AT THE HANDLE instead the floor.

what the devs should do is lock movement for a few seconds when you go near the door and force the camera down and zoom on the magazine. i feel the whole event is needlessly obtuse just to be obtuse. we're like 60 seconds into the game and have no idea of anything the devs are able to do with the game, as such it is imperative to force the player to notice it, either by literaly forcing the nose into it or changing the standard "door inaccessible" text into "there's something on the bottom stuck in the door"

direct x and graphics drivers recent? your windows needs to run in 64 bits, too (hold win key and press pause, "system type: xx bit operating system"). if its one of those 32bit compatibility builds of windows 10, dont bother.

Before we even start talking about hints and sound queues, etc. I must ask in what sort of parallel world toilets are locked from the OUTSIDE?! Yeah sure you can lock/unlock most toilets in public areas with a special key and I saw plenty that can be locked/unlocked with a screwdriver or anything that can be used as one BUT these could ALL be locked/unlocked from the inside as well.

There is one of two scenarios missing from the intro: a) MC's IQ rivals an amoeba so she does not know there should be a knob that she can turn to unlock (not open) the door but then she gets a bunch of IQ points when she looks at the magazine and recognises what's depicted in it - pretty unlikely she is dumb enough not to think to at least try to unlock the door; b)Mr Sneeky McPeaky tampered with the lock or knew the lock was tampered with or that it is broken but again MC should be able to go straight to said knob (to try to unlock the door) and see it does not work in which case she shouts for help while perusing porn magazine takes a dive in her priority list

You apparently have to point the camera EXACTLY at the magazine, otherwise it just tells you the door is close. So if you try to pick it up and miss a little, it seems like you can only interact with the door. And with no indication to the contrary, you assume the magazine is part of the floor and not something you do anything with.
