The only way to help Rosalind is to get money from Felicia or share it with Ian?

This seems very strange...
Isn't this a "Kat" issue as Felicia said?

I can't tell Felicia I'm interested in you, not your money...
She really likes this because...

Felicia, Ian, August, or Kat.

I think August might be contingent on a previous choice (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and Kat comes with possibly undesirable conditions if you don't have/use one of the social perks.

I think you need to tell August that he can trust you if you speak with him at the gig.

I found a very minor bug (only could be found with a mod or code inspection). In week 2, before the exhibition, you have a choice of helping Emma. If you do help Emma, there is some text that is supposed to display after speaking with her. The if condition that guards this is
Code:
w2ExEmmaFavor == "fulfilled."
But it should be
Code:
w2ExEmmaFavor == "fulfilled"
(note the period at the end of "fulfilled" should not be there). It doesn't seem to impact gameplay at all, but you do miss out on a line of text that says "Hopefully Ian would be here soon."

Nothing huge or breaking, just some text that has gone largely unseen.

I think this latest update is pretty terrible.

Did the developers just over-extend themselves? Is that why our choices become scarce so often now?

Maybe the fault is all mine for thinking that a game which began with choices to shape your character's past and personality would actually let you choose your character's personality type. I do have a tendency to jump to wild conclusions like that.

How exactly are we supposed to be conflicted about going after Mina, if Killian was totally fine with banging a girl we were dating?
If i read it right Ian was "banging" Marlow specifically at Marlow's request, because she didn't want to date Edwin exclusively (as she was afraid that'd cause Ian to feel left out and affect his friendship both with Edwin and Marlow) so instead she asked for them to try a throuple.

It didn't work out but it was arrangement in the open, not something that Ian did behind Edwin's back, and so potentially quite different to Edwin's actions with Mina.

This choice is immediately negated by the main character refusing to empty the trash can.
There is no such thing as MC refusing to empty the trash can in the actual game. The episode ends at this point and you're simply presuming here and then getting angry about it.

He's doing it.

Can't you realise it? if you choose to delete the files, Edwin DOES delete the files.

Did you realise that Edwin is telling us his story? yellow lines are him reminiscing the past.

Most scenes are told by our main hero who is telling us his story.

Aaaaand... Edwin spills the beans if YOU want him to spill the beans.

Aaaand... do you realise that the Marlow-Edwin-Ian story happened when they were high school students and now our hero is 21-22? he was a boy, he is a man now.

Enough said.

As I recall the only requirement for August helping is to have 6 or more points with him. That doesn't leave a huge margin for error, but I don't think there's any single action that must be taken in order to reach that total.

While I agree to some extent with some of your points (particularly about limited choices), there I couple things I think you are overlooking.

Would it have been nice to have the whole conversation now rather than put it off until the next update? Yes. But this was already a massive update.
Not to mention Victoria is drunk out of her ass. And Edwin is stoned, and there's Ian next to him in similar condition. This is hardly a setup to have a serious conversation about anything, and especially about his mom's porn career that both have been wrestling with half of their respective lives.

Yes, Edwin is always a sadist.

That's core to his character and has never been a flexible quality. And I don't think it's all that surprising that the Kathy path, where you seek out her mentorship, involves her stoking Edwin's sadism. That's kind of her thing. I mean the (optional) scene where she gives Edwin his "homework" is him seeking her perspective on the topic. I mean... 1 + 1 = 2, you know?

As for the Vicky video thing, pretty much what has been pointed out: you've misinterpreted the text. "(Now... empty the trash can.)" is Edwin emptying the trash can. I can see thinking it sounds like he's dragging his feet, but it's just him confirming the finality of his action to himself and the reader.

Edited to add: I will admit the Marlow thing is pretty hackneyed. It's hinted at very early in the story, but it's never used to inform Edwin's perspective when it comes to Mina, the threesome with Rosalind, etc when it very well should considering how formative it would be. My hand wave would be Edwin is pretty good at compartmentalizing and has moved past it, but it's honestly just me not factoring it appropriately into the story.

Likewise, while it's disappointing that our treatment of Killian has so little impact on his ability to process the information right now, I can see that being more of a long term struggle for him - that splinter in his mind that he can only fight effectively if the MC has taught him some introspection. I'm willing to see where this goes before passing judgement.
It will have a major influence on how he reacts to the information. It's not reflected in that scene because, in part, it's a prime example of the boy's old dynamic. Edwin is pushing his narrative hard, forcing him to accept it, and Ian goes along with it as a follower. At least was my thinking, beyond my tendency to save "more" for later so you can't just easily back out of your choice of telling him if you don't like his take on the matter.

This is true, but then again TD could have toned down the intoxication a notch if he wanted to put the discussion in this update. I think the size of this update combined with the desire to juxtapose whatever Victoria tells us with the Week 3 Exhibition were the driving factors here.
