I have the "opposite" problem to people here:
I mean, considering the files in there are all japanese, it shouldn't be surprising the game can't find it.

i got the same error. is this game just broken or something? running on jap locale didnt do anything either.
Same here, this happens the first time you are meant to go looking for an ingredient with Rabi.
One thing I did notice was that if I decrypted the images to make them PNG files, about half the fasttravel/stages files were corrupt, including this one.
That usually means you didn't extract it correctly. Some extractors just mess up if you use them with non-latin alphabet files (in particular winrar). You need to have set the computer's non-unicode setting to Japanese BEFORE extracting with winrar for it to work or use a different extractor like 7zip. Also, install the updates if you haven't already.
I would like to say you're a Genius but I think it's more likely the total opposite and I'm a Moron.
Downloaded the patch but never updated the files.

Yeah I think I saw her/ there was reference of her when I played this game, but the translation was not perfect so it was a bit gibberish. Quite a long time since I played this so might be wrong/ mixing it with the second game.

Got the same failed to load error even though I already applied the patch and set my PC to unicode Japan. I tried changing the file name manually coz I think maybe the file isn't detected as its in Japanese and it works fine.
Here is the file if someone have the same problem. Just extract it in the www/img/fasttravel folder. But I think I have a mistake with the forest naming coz the translation is not literal, so I had to guess based on the single word (like hoshiyomi forest > hoshi = star, yomi = read > astral reading forest) as some of the minimap got blacked out. Other than that, it doesn't affect anything else.

Edit: Now its fixed, just go download the patch on the first page, and extract it in the game folder, replace all and play the game, boom the game is fixed

yeah most people only need to use the patch so try that first, only try mine if the patch doesn't work.
