If cinematics are taking the majority of the time then I'd rather Ocean released the chapters without them and add them for the final release if it will speed up the process. We won't be missing much since all the story is told through the renders.
Ya, quite honestly, if he really wants to do cinematics, I'd love to see shorter ones showing two characters having a detailed kiss, or once sex is involved having detailed animations / cinematics to underscore certain romantic positions and feelings of the act etc. versus longer ones with trees, hair blowing, etc. I mean I understand the desire to show longer cinematics for stage-setting and storytelling advantages, don't get me wrong it's all great and he's very good at it, but if those animations cause significant queuing on the rendering rigs (or just in his workflow if they are taking a ton of dev time) that they push releases out weeks or months then, IMO, they are not worth it given the types of timeframes we're looking at...as noted, a ~30 chapter target length and we're getting a half chapter once every 4-6 months or thereabouts...
And this isn't meant to crap on Ocean or anything like that, many of us are on his Patreon because we like his work enough to get our wallets out to support him, but just literally praying at this point for faster release times and I, for one, would be perfectly happy if additional animations were added into the game at a later point when maybe he gets to the Dr Pinkcake milestone of having what is seemingly a dedicated rendering farm with like 8-10 GPUs. Ultimately it's Ocean's call, and I hope he's able to find a way to speed things along.

Premised, like many, I appreciated this project but I criticize it for the release times.
Regarding the latter point, this dev has two started projects that have been going on for a long (very long) time, in this regard ask yourself a question: why work on two projects if you have difficulty following one ?
I think, everyone will be able to express their good and satisfying answer but, those who like me observe an unjustified slowness of development have little to complain about, they just have to withdraw the support and maybe something will change.

The Dev decided to go this way. If it's good for him or not, he have to find out himself. His other game is another story with the full remake style because he wasn't happy anymore with the old style. Because of the complete Drama with two Games i've decided that i wont take the Risk for Supporting him because of the fear that he'll burnout at some point. Love Summer's Gone, Wiab is .... well, ok. But too much Risk that we will never see an ending.

The mystery around Sasha bugs me and it doesn't help that itll probably take years before we unravel that mystery for obvious reasons
but I just wanna know, is she Summer? I mean there's no doubt that she must have some kind of connection to her. But is she Summer?, it would make sense and honestly I hope she does turn out to be Summer because this game already has so many girls I don't even know who all are LIs, some are obvious like Bella, Nami, Mila and Victoria but this game definitely don't need more female characters or LIs and having summer appear later in a game where players have been focusing on the girls that are already in the game is a stupid move cause at that point who gives a fuck about Summer right? , the titled character. So I do hope we get some more Sasha content in the next few updates and she turns out to be Summer, maybe something happend that caused her to lose her memory, got a new identity, she has a battle scar on her face so she must've been through some kind of traumatic event like maybe being abducted or something?.. Fuck I'm just running wild with my own nonsense but I do hope Sasha is Summer.

Man that's disappointing if you guys are saying it's confirmed that Sasha is not Summer.. Now her mysterious background bugs me even more who the fuck is she? why did MC recognize her for a brief moment when he first saw her, why does she have the other half of Nami's earing and then there's the smiley eraser which im sure Vic got from Sasha. but Now it leaves the question, will Summer ever be in the game I mean she is the titled character so surely she should be.. Or is she just used as a catalyst to drive the narrative and it's more like Chasing Amy(for those who watched the movie)

I do think Sasha has some issues with the MC but also got inner struggles about it.
For example when you train at the gym she does "save" your fall and hurting herself but for the rest try to keep her distance from you.

Yeah she avoids MC like hell but I'm sure she was the one who told Robin to go after MC when he freaked out after he saw Vics smiley eraser and as you mentioned she broke MCs fall in the gym hurting herself in the process. she feels like a machine to be honest but surely she must care about MC in some shape or form.

Ya, I'd really like to see him focus on SG only. I admittedly throttled down the amount I was donating in Patreon in December because of the focus on WIAB which, at least for now, I have no interest in. Might play it at some point, but would love to see Ocean focus 100% on SG, get it finished, then do WIAB, or whatever he has in mind next as the insane wait times are just a little too much to take when donating higher $$ amounts on Patreon.

I don't struggle following both.
It takes long, sure but the updates also usually feature 1500+ renders & animations with increasing quality.
I'm having a good time and I enjoy waking up and working on them.
Please feel free to do that. I don't want people to regret supporting me.
But it will change nothing because I follow my principles.
"Choose between what you want now, or what you really want."
And what I really want at the end is a finished game that shows that everything was given.
A game that radiates passion and doesn't reek like rushed development just to maximize profits or a faster update schedule.
Lemme quote that dude everyone quotes after a AAA title released:
"A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad."
Also 'lel' at that last review "0 Music, 0 animations."
Especially funny if you consider the last page in this thread in which people discuss the length of the fully animated cinematics.
