The Last Barbarian R - Dungeon Devlog
Hello everyone!
The main mechanics are created, and it's time to combine them into a working level to see how they will work together. As usual, I'll start with the first level of the game—the dungeon

This won't be just a transfer of the entire classic version to the UE5 engine, but rather a rethinking of the story. Its restructuring and, in some places, changes.

I am also working on redesigning the enemies and NPCs. You've already seen the half-orc in . The Letel’s cultists will also get an updated appearance. Unlike the classic version, they will be clothed, though the setting and game lore impose their own fashion rules. Barbarian will encounter them in the first location, but we'll get to fight them later (I still need to finish the ranged attack module).

There will be more traps that the Barbarian can fall into. These will be varied scenes with "endings."

Despite the fact that UE5 allows for the creation of large, seamless open worlds, I will stick to the old development concept: transitions between locations with a semi-open world. The locations will become larger, and the structure of the world from the classic version will be changed.

The reason is that I want to avoid the problem of "empty large worlds," as well as issues with lighting. I’m not using Lumen and Nanite techniques because I want the game to be playable for as many players as possible while still maintaining decent visual quality.

In large open spaces, it would be practically impossible to properly place light sources, bake them, and apply reflections in a way that looks decent.

So, you will port this project into UE5 ... since I have a potato PC, just asking if there will be a raise in requirements for it?

I try to keep the game as lowest spec requiremnet as possible. I guess I'll publish publicly Test area build, so you'll be able to check how it works on potato PC

The Last Barbarian Rebirth - Dungeon: Release notes

I am pleased to announce that I have finished working on a new demo for The Last Barbarian Rebirth. I’ve combined almost all the basic mechanics and recreated the first location from the original game. This is not a clone of the first location, but a reimagining of it.

Let’s talk about the main features of this demo and the whole game updated concept.

Play as a virgin or spoiled warrior. The Choice is yours.

From the very beginning, I’ve focused on creating diverse gameplay experiences.

Need to escape from the Prison? Seduce the guard or look for a sneaky way out of the cell.

The game will not require you to complete tasks in a strictly defined way.

You can avoid the content you don’t like or play as Virgin Warrior. This will not lock any story progression for you.

Detailed Smut Simulation

Unlike the original version of the game, there will be no longer short scenes "without final shot."

Each scene is meticulously crafted frame by frame, and transitions between poses are animated manually.

Stats and perks

All your activities will be recorded into a secret diary, even the amount of spunk collided with her skin.

Traps and Tentacles

With the new animation capabilities, I’m able to create more diverse scenes, including the fan-favorite flesh caves filled with tentacles.

Full camera control

All scripted smut events have a free camera and fixed POV camera. So you can view everything from whichever angle you prefer.

Appearance matters.

What the barbarian is wearing is important. To complete the demo, you need to be dressed appropriately. In the future, NPCs may respond to the barbarian differently depending on her appearance.

Also, during explicit scenes, clothing is no longer fully removed but instead opens appropriately. Don’t forget to adjust your outfit afterward by pressing F.

No more automatic saves.

Press Save in the stat screen to save your progress and reset to reset it. SLots will be available in the next update

Controls

WASD - to move

ESC - stat screen

LMB - light attack (hold for charged attack)

RMB - strong attack

Middle mouse - targeting

Space - roll (while armed)

R - arm/disarm

F- fix clothes

CAPS LOCK - Walk

Shift - sprint

E - use (you need to hide your weapon)

1,2,3 - change camera in smut scenes

The next update will feature full gamepad support and keyboard key reassignment.

Now they are available for Demons and Priests

Cultist will have access this Halloween night
