That was fairly informative. On the numbers front, Ceolag is now averaging approximately 66 static renders, 2.8 animations, and 189 lines per week since work on Chapter 6 began. Here are the charts:

Beyond the bare numbers, we also got a pretty solid indication of what's left to do, namely Elea's scene and the chapter finale. Hopefully Elea's scene will finally drag her into the main plot of the game. Anyway, at a guess, I'd say we're looking at about two months of work or so to finish things off, though there's obviously a huge amount of variability here. The bottom line is that we still need to be patient, but I think we are in the home stretch.

And of course it's great to hear that Ceolag's mother is on the road to recovery. We'll keep hoping for the best!
You do these charts by yourself for fun/altruistic reasons? If yes then I admire your consistency and commitment, on behalf of this thread readers - thank you!

I think she is the daughter of those templars who were killed in action.:

Elea, is almost certain Linnaes daughter, this was discussed in the thread before even they have the same pendant, it was just not confirmed, from Ceo. (although it is pretty obvious) I even did a post with their faces put side by side and there is a clear reensemblace.
As for the child which both Parents were killed there are 2 theories,
1.) it is Nightingale, (she tells us a bit about her while we go to Neverwhere)
2.) It is Kaija, although she was raised by her Grandpa not the Aunt how Hilda tells.

I'm posting the last dev log from steam:

Hey everyone,

April is already here, and sadly, the development of Chapter 6 is still in progress.
I'm getting closer to finishing Chapter 6, but to be honest, I hoped to be at least in Beta by now.
The events of February and March didn't help, of course.
The good news is that I'm kinda back on track and hopefully can wrap up Chapter 6 quickly.

I created my last test build this week, which will be the last build before Beta and contains roughly 90% of the planned content.
To put it into numbers, that means 2240 static renders, 96 animations, and the script file has almost reached the size of Chapter 5 (~6400 lines vs ~6800).

I hope to get all remaining work done in April so I can move into Beta at the end of the month.
At least, that's the plan for now.
With a bit of luck, the next announcement here will be the Beta state.

I make the charts because they help me get a very rough sense of how the development is going, and I figure as long as I'm making them I might as well share. Plus it's something to do during the wait.

I think it will be ready and released in the second half of this month.
Could be. I was assuming Elea's event will be comparable in size to Kaija and Fiona's, which seems to be in the ballpark of one month's work. Add some time for the finale, debugging and testing and we get the second half of May, maybe early June if things slip a bit. But it's entirely possible that Elea's event will be smaller, or some of the work for it is already done, or even that the pace will accelerate as the finish line comes into sight. Numbers notwithstanding, this is more art than science.

By the ending of april the coding and rendering will be done. I don't know how long Beta testing will take. Maybe we can estimate it from the last releases.

I'm very keen for it too. Hang in there. Ceo will get it done when he can. VNs are an incredible amount of work. Add in life's unexpected events and things get delayed. I'd rather wait a little longer than have any content cut.

For Chapter 3, Ceolag announced that only ~25-30 renders and several animations remained to be completed on June 2, 2023. He announced the start of Beta on June 9, and the chapter was released on June 20, 11 days later.

For Chapter 4, Ceolag announced coding was nearly done and only ~100 renders and 1 animation remained on November 17, 2023. He announced the start of Beta on November 23, and the chapter was released on December 7, roughly 2 weeks later.

For Chapter 5, Ceolag announced he was finished with renders and coding (and only 1 animation outstanding) on July 12, 2024. He announced the start Beta testing on July 19, and the update was released (on schedule) on July 27. So approximately 1 week for the Beta this time.

I'd say it seems to take a week or so to finalize a build, then another 1-2 weeks to wrap up the beta and release.
