I think it's fair to say that the queen and princess are completely dysfunctional, with the only nice one being the king. Mostly understandable (wouldn't call it forgivable though) considering the life the queen probably led before she married the king. The queen's side of the family seemed to be both paranoid and vindictive.

The queen probably wanted to make sure her daughter was competent enough to handle the political minefield she was going to inherit, but the methods she's using are the reason the princess is so messed up. The queen was probably physically and mentally abusive to the princess from the moment the princess could walk. And while it probably came from a place of love, it started a cycle of abuse that the princess passes on to others, like Colette (who then passes it on to you) and anybody else she can boss around. The queen is definitely nicer to you since you're technically supposed to be a temporary solution and she believes she doesn't have to get as "rough" with you (yet).

Both the queen and the princess are going to have to fix their relationship if the MC is going to get out of this mess.

There's probably other options which aren't immediately apparent, too.

Like, i'm curious if there's any connection between Firmin Goux, the crazy alchemist dude potentially asking the MC to deliver one of his potions to someone in the royal convoy at the start of the game, and the queen apparently starting to lose her voluptuous shape few days after that guy got murdered by Robiers.

Sure, but the beautiful thing about knifing as a problem-solving strategy is that even if it results in new complications, those can usually be resolved by further, more vigorous knifings. It's a One-Step Plan to Success.

(alternatively, maybe we're about to get a bunch of Queen's hand-me-downs. But i'd imagine the differences in shape would require more than just small adjustments)

Guess the mc will just have to gain some curves to fit the hand me downs.

A somewhat-slow pace for this update so far - things keep on getting in the way - but a release is getting close to being ready. Perhaps releasing on SubscribeStar in the next week or so? (though I just had another surgery (a smaller one than last time, at least), so it'll depend on how difficult the recovery is)
It'll be a smaller update than usual. I'm trying out releasing each "day" in sections, rather than as one big update, as they were getting pretty unwieldy.
Lots of art commissions got finished in this period, so I'm super excited for everyone to see them ^_^

I discovered this game just last week and I absolutely love it. I appreciate the attention to detail, especially in the description of clothing and accessories. I even learned from this game that cutlery is used from the outside in.
What I'm confused about is whether those clothes have a restriction that only one set can be worn per day in the early stages and cannot be repeated, or if all clothes can be worn one set per day later on. Could it be that the game only lasts about a month?
I have a few more ideas. For instance, is it possible to develop the protagonist into a ruler like Catherine the Great to confront the queen in the future?
I'm also looking forward to more interactions with the king in the future
Besides, it would be great to have a dog and experience some fun things

Finally decided to sit down and play this game, known about it for a good while now but never played it. Holy shit why didn't I play this sooner? I used to PRAY for games like these. I hope this never gets abandoned because the attention to detail, characters, and story, are incredibly gripping ;) and well done. I tip my hat to the creator, this shit is interesting enough that I forgot I was actually playing an HTML adult game for a moment. My only gripe with this game is that it isn't already finished so I gotta wait for more of this top tier level craft to be made.
