VN - Ren'Py - To Be a King [Ch.11] [ITRoy]

TL,DR : Pretty good game with decent story. Girls are very hot.

This game has decent plot. Its not your typical excuse for dumb porn. Writing is good.
You are playing as general who is put in charge of kings safety. There were some assassination attempts at king's life. One of the perks of the job is that you will spend a lot of time with princesses (wink).

Art: 5/5
+ Girls are really hot.
+ Renders are good. Lightning of images is good. Author really did a good job.
- Only downside is main character. Sometimes he looks a bit weird. Sometimes he looks older, sometimes he looks younger. At least you wont see his face often.

Gameplay: 3/5
Its your typical straighforward VN with some choices. So far choices affect your romance options (date the girl or not) and some variables that may prove to be usefull later in game. Game is still early in development so who knows how usefull it will be.

To sum it up:
Game is still early in development, but it has great potential. So far I really liked the game. It has around 1 hour and 30mins of content and I really enjoyed it. You should definitely check it out and follow its development.

Just finished playing this games (update 0.2) and what can I say:

Lovely female models and that includes the MILF queen.
Dev's writing is good and at the moment is giving some nice background story.
Love the interaction with the MC and the females and it is clear to see each female has their own personality.
Renders are nice and clear which is fantastic (just hate low resolution or grainy renders)

Now for the slightly bad points:

MC model is not that handsome but all the females think he is so handsome.
Sex scenes need to be a little longer and is missing the animation that so many other games are including in AVN's these days.

Overall, I am enjoying this game and look forward to the next update - only gave 4 stars because of the bad points listed above but had this included a more handsome MC and included animation then this would have easily get 5 stars (more if that could be possible).

I forgot to give my personal feedback to the game after i played it so here you go:

Pros:
- great quality
- love the face of the youngest girl but my fav are the daughter (widow) of the lord and the oldest princess - very lovely
- the UI looks and feeld professional (menu, mainscreen etc)
- well written
- sex
- sweet scenario

Cons:
- sometimes too much text (but i guess it has to be to built up the story)
- the two younger princesses could be a bit curvier
- i hoped to play the old guy in the thumbnail but i play a middle age officer :/
- no incest?
- sex scenes are decent but could be better (with maybe more options and longer scenes)
- the middle girl looks like the average girl from other porngames who looks quite sexy (and here in good quality) but still a bit too average for my personal taste
- again no old male protag and instead a handsome middle age man


=> i also hope there will be more options later, cause the construct of the game and the render quality looks and feels professional, i am just not a fan of the protagonist and that the youngest girl has no curves primary.

but it has potential nonetheless and that primary my personal opinion but i love the scenario even i hoped for a hidden incest game. So atm its a 3.5 for me with potential for a higher rating but 5 stars would be a lie at least for me at this early stage

Really love it. Good rendering, good story, beautiful women. Love it when it a game is about a topic I enjoy. Especially when there's more emphasis placed on the story and not the sex. A story that's not predictable, and keeps it real by making me wonder what I would do with some of these choices. Keep going, can't wait for more.

Reviewing version 0.1, I'll start with some good and bad points.

Good
- Dialogue is very well written
- The characters are beautiful and unique
- For the first release theres a decent amount of content and a good story foundation which can be built on in future releases.

Bad
- There isn't really anything that stood out as being "bad" except the sex scenes are very short. But as this is the first version i'm sure they'll be better and longer in the future.

This game has started off pretty good and i'll definitely be keeping an eye out for future releases.

I found the other review to be wildly inaccurate. There's way more than 15 min of playtime. And while it's true that Cassia, Valentina, and Kaylan have similar physiques, I wouldn't say they're the same. Finally, I didn't find the general dialogue to be lacking at all. Sure more dialogue during sex scenes would've been nice but the scenes themselves were quite short, and that's a bigger issue in my opinion.

The renders are stunning with beautiful lighting. The pacing is pretty good for the story. The models all look great. Cassia and Aelinia are my favourites at the moment. I like the music, and it's nice to see a medieval game. There aren't too many of those, and this one does it really well.

I wish the mc's face didn't look like he was 50 in some scenes. In others, he looks about late 30s. I also would've liked to see animated sex scenes, even if they were looped stills. Lastly, more choices would've been nice, but this is a nitpick.

All in all, it's an easy 5 stars. Excited to see what's next.

As of first release:

Pretty game. Nice renders. Not much else to say here. Currently there's about 15 mins of content if you give it a proper read. The dialogue is a little weak, especially in the sex scenes. A lot of the female characters in the game have a very similar look/body type which personally is a big red flag for me. The queen character is my favorite simply because she looks different from the rest of the cast.
