So Kallie has been groomed by her fiance and Laura needs male validation because her husband is fed up with her not trimming her bush :KEK:

This is quickly becoming my favorite ILS story. If it keeps building at this rate, it'll overtake Now & Then.

We are spot on for Laura and only slightly different for Kallie:

I was willing to give up a little Trust and Friendship to keep the Anxiety down.

Cheers!! :coffee:

Every time I finish a chapter of this I get irritated. It is really good. Half tempted to play N&T while I wait for updates...

you guys are a little different, while you keep the anxiety stat down, i keep it up so they depend more on the mc.

We don't know ATM how that stat is going to be used long term. It is used once that I saw, and if the stat was high enough (like at 4, not the max which was like 7 at that point), something happened with Kallie (I think it was a specific conversation, or she peeked on you in the shower). I don't remember when or where, I proofread 4 a few weeks ago, and have forgotten at this point. We don't know it is going to be used in the future. I can see it going good or bad, depending on the relationship with her (or the others).

I expect anxiety long term to lead to situations like them freezing up instead of doing what they need to do. Not sure of the long term consequences of that yet. In the meantime, I only try to take anxiety if it comes with something else beneficial.

It never crossed my mind that anxiety can be a good thing lol. I mean if dev really makes them dependent on MC then that's a good thing too right? It's a different form of affection.

No, because then all it will take is one bad thing to happen to the MC for that house of cards to come crashing down. In a crisis, you don't want anxious sheep, you want adaptable thinkers that can get things done.

It was just that Kallie did something to be closer to the MC (I forget what). Yes it could mean that the anxiety helps "start" the relationship, having too high of an anxiety, means more things down the road. So it can be good, and bad, as with all things in life.

Excellent update! Kallie has really been growing on me. I was so-so in the beginning when it came to her, perhaps because I don't like blondes too much, but she is now my favorite.

Keep up the good work, dev!

If we go by N&A, we know that nothing "really" bad is gonna happen with high A score, only alterations on how a scene plays. With high A, they will act much more scared and freeze and not be as useful. Examples on how it was used is for example, when Hannah's house get's invaded while the MC is away and the girls defend themselves, Carol gets confronted with 2 baddies. With high stress Carol takes a bad defensive position, still shoots the first guy, but hesitates with the second one and then Hannah shows up and guns him. When Carol is confident, she set up an ambush by hiding behind the door, shoot crook #1, then gets in the hallway and blast crook #2 without hesitation. Same thing with Naomi at the beach house. Different event narration, but ultimately, about the same end result.

The most beneficial solution is to keep A low, but i wouldnt worry too much for now. If we go with ILS past works, we can expect at least 25 chapters, and A will go up and down on itsown without choices also as the story progresses, so as long as you dont meet the treshold for the less favorable outcome (leaving leewayto pick some choice that gives a stat increase but also an A increase), it wont matter too much.

I have noticed that high A also gives you points in other stats, for example in chapter 3 if you don't have high A with Kallie you will miss out on her trust points and an extra scene. Even in N&A you miss out on rp points if you didn't have high A points. I'm sure Anxiety will more like a double aged sword in this game.
