It would be good to have an option to customize MC in the next gameif it doesn't ruin the world (and maybe it would be harder for developer to implement or the game will be too huge), but should not be new "change" for sure.

You have to make a rat trap (roach, basic container, plastic wrap, and gaffer tape). You then use that and trap a rat at the lighthouse. Then go to the east end of the map where the jaguar is and you'll set it, allowing you to keep going east

From what I remember and depending on your progression, you can find them at
-Furthest point west alongside the river
-Bathroom (hallways) of bar
-Inside the lighthouse
