I think it just puts a flag in the save and shows that warning just in case; I don't think I've had too many issues just playing older saves in the newer versions. Maybe a couple years ago, when they did some background changes, but not recently.

If it's not in the directory then it will be:
C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\UniSaves


Not ALL CG Scenes are optional, but all routes are.


Like drdeath4h said it's primarily a warning letting you know that the save is from a different version of the game. If you encounter an error screen referencing a variable or something then the save is likely the issue. When you first start a new game that save game will carry the version of the game you started the play through on, and when you load the save the game checks if the current game version is the same version that you started that save on. If not, you get a warning.

Basically what can happen is if we add a variable to a route that takes into account a choice you made earlier on but your save is after were that choice is then you'll either get an error when the game goes to check that variable or you'll get a scene/dialog that isn't consistent with your choice.

Best example would be the Cheer Club Beach Trip which takes into account a lot of the early game choices.

Why do some people want and ask for Violet and Matt hookup?? Violet is like super lesbian and only into Chelsea it wouldn't make any sense at all for her to do anything with Matt (besides kicking his ass because he's a scumbag).
Now that she's won the poll we can finally have some nice yuri and lesbian sub/dom stuff again.
I hope Hizor won't change her character entirely to suddenly be interested in guys and want to hook up with Matt of all people.

Replayed Violet's route like 3 times, always making Chelsea the sub. It has some really really good writing that I have not seen in other dom/sub stories. I can't wait for the route to be fully finished.

I did try some other routes, but they're not really my cups of tea. Especially not ones involving Matt, so am glad Violet's route doesn't involve him.

We are planning on having the cat be adoptable, but we want to have some mechanics of taking care of the cat along with it. So it's going to be a long while before we touch on it.

Can anyone tell me what will happen to the cat (Lucky) if you give him away?

You get a scene where you hear kids picking on something. Scare them away, pet the cat. You'll get another event where you can take it home whilst you find someone to look after it.
When you find someone to adopt it, click the option for changing your mind. You'll get to keep the cat.

Is it an RNG event that happens later after rescuing the cat from those kids? I recall getting to the point of trying to find it a home or just leaving it there. Of course, the FMC chose to do right thing by the lil' kitten and chose to try to find it a home (since there was no option at the time to adopt it herself). I haven't encountered anything with the cat since then however. ^^'

So, I've reached a point that looks like its probably leading to a good ending on the Victoria route, but she just stopped showing up after saying she was going to talk to her parents. Is this unfinished content or is my game bugged?

Adopted the cat and the landlord was cool with it too. It's adorable to see it watching the news in the living room, ngl. Wish there were more interactions with it though.

Re: Jobs / Money
On a separate note, the FMC in the current game might wind up with having money issues soon. With rent and cat food alone, I figure about $700 is needed in the month. However, the FMC in this run is a good, strong-willed, and wholesome type of character. She stood up for herself and quit the bakery job after refusing to tolerate any more abuse and took the convenience store job that Nathan suggested. That job, however, simply doesn't pay enough at a little over a hundred bucks per work week. That will be far short of the $700 mark even without any other expenditures. There doesn't seem to be a way to look for another steady, above-board job currently in the game. (At least I haven't found anything in the thread about it.) Will this character (without using the in-game money cheat) have no other recourse than to find "alternative" means of income down the line? If so, that seems unduly punishing.

Edit: Hizor Oh, that reminds me. There were couple of bugs I've run across. Most were benign and infrequent such as the rare typo, or oddly inconsistent event progression -- like characters being referred to without first meeting them, or the UI disappearing after interacting with the computer (I have a save at this spot if needed), or text getting rolled back despite the rollback side being disabled in preferences -- this one is hard to replicate. However, an easy one to correct is the cat food price. Before getting the other cat items, the cat food price is listed as $50 on its icon but should only be $25 just like how it's displayed on the menu selection (without the other cat item icons) once the player has bought the scratching post and cat bed.

Regardless, this is a fun game with nice, three-dimensional characters with wonderful art and great writing! I've been enjoying it a lot -- just like many others, I'm sure! Looking forward to seeing more of what's to come! Cheers!

And the fact that you can actually treated her harshly like a slave instead of "Roleplaying slave" and she still fully obeyed you, making the scenario where Matt will get his hand on Violet with the help of MC is like a matter of time, that's why when seeing Violet suddenly turned into a bossy character again on that conflict scene, and instantly turned into very submissive slave right after that, doesn't makes sense and very anti climatic.

This game is pretty dark especially on Matt path, where he can rape and blackmailed MC using it to make her submit to him, so seeing another dark path on Matt path but now with Violet, is just pretty normal and kinda expected too lol
