loaded the renpy 8.1.3 but animations are laggy as hell. Using the x64 exe. Are there any ideas?

Personally would have loved the option to swap girls in that scene but it is what it is. Maybe if I get hold of the character cards one day, I'd make the scenes myself.

Do you mind sharing pc specs? Could be a cpu issue. That update seems to fix most the issues, or at least smooths it out a lot more, resulting in occasional stutter rather than straight up lag.
Is it a known fault that the latest update broke all the previous saves? I mean, that's a hell of a lot of ctrl-skipping to be done, and someone else's saves are useless in this case because of no option to rename within the UI.

But, you can just start with the newest Content. When you start a new game, Otaku appears and you get the chance to start from the beginning or just skip to the newest content.
If you mean the characters who are stealing (or at least having sex with) the MC's LIs - in context, shouldn't they be the heroes of the game, rather than its villains?

As far as I know, you need to be playing the exact same game as the new version (IE no mods, just the plain ass game). So if you have anything extra added to the game when you played the previous game and made a save while those mods are there, the new version wouldn't be able to load it. I know that this error can happen even if you didn't do this but I have no idea why, this is just one cause I've seen and am able to explain.
