I don't even waste my time trying to understand this. I advise everyone to make save games dedicated to a single girl and that's it. Otherwise, you need to turn off your brain to play this game.

I mean... How do you explain all the girls being friends with each other after the MC abandoned 4 of them for one of them? Zero sense.
But, that’s the entire problem with the writing of this game isn’t it? A lot of people (in this thread) have been trying to role-play the shit out of this game. Trying to force outcomes, conclusions, and endings that will never happen. The first seasons of this AVN were brilliant in that DPC knows how to write and render characters that suck you immediately into his world. It was engaging and, dare I say fun, for awhile. And, like so many other writers, he’s losing something along the way. How many authors do you notice with powerful starts and mid (or worse) finishes? I still fear this is AL (or Mass Effect) all over again. There is one central plot DPC has in mind, he has too many subplots and characters now for our “role-playing” to make sense anymore. So, “why play so-and-so path, it doesn’t make sense”? Why not? It’s just a game. Maybe it’ll be great when it’s done, maybe not… We unfortunately keep being reminded of exactly that, it’s not brilliant writing. That said, the author is also never going to be able to please everyone and I think it’s becoming clear that isn’t the goal anyway. So, MC-horny-for-everyone-group so that we can watch the world burn? Game goals, here I come! Maybe it will pay off! Maybe it won’t, oh well… :coffee::whistle::cool:

Yes I was referring to the assembled avengers, I wrote day but I meant the scene before the mission . At that time nobody but Derek knows about Patrick's abuse. Sage probably knows more about Maya's situation, but Jill and Bella there is no reason to think they know much about it. It is all extremely forced and blatant. Starting with the mission itself in that they already know that Maya has no loan in her name.

Do Jill and Bella serve as legal advisors? In the end they just repeat what they had said before
Only Derek knows about the physical abuse but as of the library planning meeting, Sage, Jill and Bella all know that Patrick is threatening Maya's education funding because she's dating Josy. True, we don't know how much Maya shared but they (especially Jill) could have interpreted what's going on as a form of psychological abuse or "bullying." Yes, Maya's tuition plot is extremely forced overall and glad that's over. All things considered, outside of certain paths, the MG group just doesn't seem that forced imo. DPC could have given no signs whatsoever that they were all interacting and then it would have really seemed forced.

I want to play a cheat on Jill playthough from season 1. I'm gonna go for a NEUTRAL affinity. How are you guys doing your own playthroughs? Quinn, no Quinn? Restaurant, no restaurant?

On my Cheat Jill run, I went all out:
- Every other MG
- Restaurant
- Every Swyper possibility
- Jade
- Madame
- Strippers
- Even followed Quinn's route until she declines you in the library when Jill asks MC for a dinner date
- Do every possible cheat activity during Halloween and panty party

you can get the restaurant but you cant get too many chick points nor can you get too many dik points and when it comes time for major decisions try to keep the dik/chick major choices balanced and try not to be on any other main girls route the side girls are ok

Just a thought re: Jill path. I don't think you have to cheat on Jill. It appears to me that Jill (slightly drunk) will allow Bianca (Jill: "Poor Bianca, she deserves what I am getting.") ...to have a shot at MC as long as Jill is watching/helping.

I sense similar on the Bella path, (Bella: "Jills' first time should be with my great guy.").

Obviously there are other possibilities too....

Sage path: Befriending Jill has possibilities.

In any case, it's better left to Sage, not MC talking about it.
Agreed that the decision to share that info is probably better left to Sage, but once the decision to share it with Josy was made I think it's better to be honest about her knowing. It'll probably come out sooner or later, and the longer it's been, the more it'll probably hurt.

Edit: It's been a while since I played Episode 8, but wasn't the decision to tell Josy partially to get advice on if MC should tell Sage about Chad? That makes it more excusable in my book.

Still funny scenario when Chad confronts MC in the library:
MC: Yes, nobody knows about it. Oh, except my yandere. Oh and also except your ex.

That's the thing. Nora is not tied with any other girl. Lily clearly mentioned she doesn't want to upset Nicole and Nicole is not someone who is keen on having an open relationship.
You are correct. My comment was more about 'mutually exclusive' as opposed to having a story behind it. There's very, very, few mutually exclusive LIs or main Side Girls right now, so it was interesting to notw what the choices are.

Haha, yeah. Still, the fact they knew and weren't bullying or threatening him seemed to make quite an impression on Chad. He seemed much more like he was vulnerable and remorseful instead of angry when he learned Sage knew and was processing that she hadn't taken it out on him.

The discussions on the dynamics of the girls in the group are very interesting and, now that we've FINALLY finished the Maya arc of the student loan, it's possible to take a step back on the evolution of the story and these relationships through these characters, in particular, Josy.
Already, I think everyone agrees that Josy's character poses a problem in her own evolution. Unlike the other girls, her only background is her relationship with Maya, apart from that, she has no story, apart from her permanent love affair with the MC, which had been highlighted in these forum pages, clearly, since episode 9 following the different route variants, except on the famous route, because "ALADY, what else"... of course ;)

Her recent questioning and evolution (fashion, social networks) seems to come out of nowhere and is very artificial (and makes Josy appear even more superficial, which doesn't help her). It seems that Dr Pinkcake isn't stupid, he too saw the problem, and as we can clearly see the moment of definitive choice coming at the end of the story with Zoé's ultimatum so he wanted to introduce, a story thread of his own for Josy since this season 3, a clean and viable evolution without Maya, something he should have done, as for all the other girls, from the beginning of the story, hence the completely wobbly aspect compared to the others. This is all the more obvious if you've been on the road to the pair's break-up since the end of season 2.

That's just for the Josy case, but there are so many other inconsistencies in the story that appear with hindsight... but, I remain attached to the characters, disregarding the rest, but when these inconsistencies influence the behavior of these characters... it's difficult, I could also have written another paving stone on Sage, Quinn and Maya that I adore, so much to say.

Jill offered the use of her family lawyer, I think she'd be smart enough to NOT offer legal advice... as that in and of itself can become a legal issue.

The timelines are often a bit quirky in the game. Sometimes between scenes it's concurrent with the previous one and other times it appears days have passed between what we actually see. I try to use the parties they plan as a rough timeline give or take a few days here and there.
