To be clear up front, three months of work for this much content in 0.08 is really disappointing, and this is after a series of updates that have felt light on content considering the time each update took to get out. I agree with you guys on that much.
Having said that, writing is faaaar from the lion's-share of the work, it's not even a significant portion of it. Parsing the script into code takes as much time as the actual writing process itself (if it were wholely original), let alone all the accompanying code to construct the scene and everything else required for updates. It's way more work than I think you guys are giving it credit for, like waaaay more. The rest of the project and work that goes into each update (except compiling the assets) is built from scratch, and that's a lotof hard work, especially in comparison to the un-original parts of this project.
Dark Silver had the benefit of having an entire team by the time they were working on Glamour and was working on Big Brother fulltime in the first year, so comparing the frequency and size of updates to this project doesn't make much sense imo. I'm pretty sure this dev, excluding testing and translation, is a solo act who does this project on top of another IRL job (something to do with a farm based on past comments he's made). Even if there are others working directly on updates, we don't know how many people there are and how much time they contribute. Currently this project only makes enough for the salary of one person in the dev's country of origin (which has a low median salary to begin with), and definitely didn't have $50k up front to fund it, so I'm not sure what the point of that hypothetical is? Maybe I missed it's point?
Long and short, the idea that "all the hard work is done" is only kinda right if you're strictly speaking about the creation of the premise, characters and compilation of the assets. If you're talking in any other sense, like the time, complexity and difficulty of the work required to put out content for a project like this, I'm sorry but that's just flat out wrong and would demonstrates a profound ignorance around how these projects actually function (coming from someone who has worked on multiple projects like this).
But that's were my defense of the dev starts and ends. This update was a joke. Even in comparison to this dev's past work, let alone other comparable projects. Its very light on content. Three months for half a dozen new pose's when peeking with the ladder, another half dozen poses with Alice's incomplete webcam event, and couple extra shots of existing fantasies (which spoils the game imo) along with a new one? Bruh...
I don't think this project is an intentional scam (that's just conspiratorial coping imo), but I do think the dev is incompetent or doesn't have or want to put time into work on this project anymore and is failing to communicate that. At this point I would question why anyone would choose to pay or back it.
