No it makes perfect sense in 1984 (Book but film is probably enough for this point) Big Brother was the network that spied on and controlled it's citizens the movie version was referenced on Maxs T Shirt (might not be the Dark Silver Version they've blurred together over the years) and after protests and fighting against it in the end the protagonist sells out his lover and loves Big Brother the same way the household leave or share thier partners as they come to love Max of course "Big Brother" being the big brother gives the reference an extra layer but Max is only big brother to Lisa while he's "Big Brother" to everyone

So Eric and Ann got together like in the original game, was there any way to avoid this or am I stuck in an NTR route?
Not really, you can have him not come over (the "Omega" event) but that's about it.
Though Ann wasn't "stolen" from Max or anything like that (she was the wife of the ship's captain) so technically Eric will be the one getting NTR'd by Max once he's been dealt with. But I'm completely fine with that lol.
And you WILL be able to get rid of Eric eventually, and when that happens everyone will know it because it's the only thing we'll be talking about lol.
I'd say play both paths, "Alpha" has some fun (and hilarious) stuff involving characters connected to Eric in it. And you can kinda see how it might end for him with some of the stuff he does without Ann knowing.
Yeah I know she was the captains wife, though it kind of feels like she was stolen seeing as how there is an affection and submission stat, and you'd think you were making progress with her until all of the sudden she's asking if Eric can come over or not. I thought I didn't get Anns stats up fast enough and that's why Eric and Ann got together, guess it wasn't avoidable to begin with. I was wondering where the girls went on the weekends seeing as how I probably missed that interaction but I assume they are going over to Erics so Ann has probably been in a relationship with him for a while and I just didn't know. Definitely looking forward to seeing how Eric is removed, I wonder if it will be original or if it will be similar to the original.
Well right now those stats aren't doing much, though the dev has said that later on there will be events that depend on them.
As far as I know only Ann goes to visit Eric.
He hasn't really gotten involved with Alice and Lisa yet other than being involved in getting Alice her "job" as a cam girl, which is helping Max get closer to her anyway.
As for how Eric is removed, I want to see him launched into the sun since he makes that threat himself but we'll see.
One question, this game has something to do. Half the days you spend there, you can't do anything.

Pretty much all you need to do is just read the hints for the open quests and you will progress through the game. Unlike the original, you don't have to repeat some event 5 times just to progress further, also there aren't "hidden" triggers that you need to stumble upon just so you unlock a new quest.

That's news to me, I haven't played the last few updates and was excited to download, but as someone who support incest games "only" I will pull out my support if a patch is not made soon.
I would love to see a remake without the grind, with several new events every day, and without Eric.
