Honestly I don't really care about the 'rudicule'. If you play it, you'll see that it's not just the names that are the same. Some events overlap with the original, others... not so much. As for the abandonment issue - I intend to see it till the end. I'm not doing it for the money, I'm doing it for the fun if it. If there are enough people who want to support me - great. If not... well the fun of doing it is still there. I'll be doing it in my own pace on my own terms regardless of the Patreon.Different story, different models. If dev didn't name the game BBiS and gave the characters different names he could have avoided the ridicule.
It's not even a good strategy to get patrons as most people familiar with BB already expect every new BB game to be abandoned after a few (or 1) updates.

Demonstrably no, everyone allegedly being sick of them hasn't stopped this game. In fact, calling it 'Big Brother' obviously gets it more publicity, as people gravitate to it, even if only to complain in the comments, which gives it greater visibility. As they say, "There's no such thing as bad publicity".
The real issue stopping people is their lack of skills with the relevant tools, and the lack of motivation to learn. This explanation is less popular, but I'll leave the reasons for that to your imagination.

Sure, it gets publicity because people come to mock yet another Big Brother game, they don't make any money though. There are so many abandoned spin offs it's insane.
can only hope that Disney gets hold of this to do another remake ....... may kill it dead forever,,,,,,, hopefully

I think you have too narrow view of what the AVNs are. What's called "sandbox" around here comes from "dating simulator" branch of VNs, which had stat-raising activities as requirement for pursuing available LIs.
If this isn't your thing then it is fine, but it's more of your personal preference than "what AVNs are for" universally. Simply move on and play the specimens which are more to your liking. But don't lambast the games which aren't for being their own thing; this genre is broader than you expect/give it credit for.

Well, this one promises that the NTR is avoidable so I give it a shot.
Story as it is right now:
This game could use some music and sound effects. Like this creepy aliens theme at the very beginning, and when the very first flashes (white screen) some SFX would be awesome.
I didnt played the original, but if it wanted just to be "BB but in Space!", then I would say it managed it. However, is this enough for you guys ? Personally I expected something a bit more indepth of Characters and this unique environment, but then it wouldnt be BB right ?
In all not bad for 0.1 and if its true that you can Yeet Eric before he starts gropping our mom then I dont see this game having any problems.

hope that u r realy mean it....that u r not doing it for money and will not be abandoned.....not cause game...but some minority can realy enjoy it.
