Ren'Py Abandoned Big Brother in Space [v0.10.0] [Lewd Fiction Games]

I keep seeing this on the update list, and think about it until I remember grinding, repeated scenes, and the same general problems of every remake or re-imagining of "big brother". I have to hand it to you guys who actually like this play style, you're true champions of patience and obviously lots of spare time.

It's more optionally repetitive than the serious grindfests out there (though yes I played through a lot of them too) A lot of the grindier elements are as much the incomplete nature as anything else, the event isn't there yet to trigger. From what the dev's said there's a move to a less complicated event tracking system coming so might be worth jumping in then if you're willing to tolerate some grind as it's part of the slice of life nature of the game.

Plus in the next update coming (hopefully) in mid-January, there will be a VN-like playstyle which will eliminate all the "grind" for people that prefer VNs.

I've just finished with the refactoring of the "opportunities" into character-driven quests and having played through both alpha and omega paths, I can say that removing unnecessary dependencies between the quests makes it better. There is still some parallel gameplay for Alice since she has quite a few quests and mixing their steps into just a single queue makes for a bad experience.

There is a little bit but the ntr content is pretty much non-existent to tag the game with netorare.

I've played most of the versions of the original game and I quite enjoy this one. Less grindy than the original and it's spawns.

If you like being Penalized for doing what the game suggests. this game is for you.
If you like being forced to endure your female family members being sexually involved with a married man, this game is for you.
If you like men like ERIC(manipulating, cheating on his wife, controlling, cuckolding, etc.), this game is for you.
If you like ANY of the Big Brother series of games/VN's, this game is for you.

If you are like me and so many others here in F95, you'll avoid ANY of the Big Brother games like this. Even if the dev suggests otherwise, this game is just another BB game. And yes, I absolutely hate NTR. Makes me think that authors like this can't live in the real world happily without creating shit like this.

Furthermore, I agree with one of the earlier posts that recommends that Big Brother games have their own TAGS. Would make it easier to avoid them ALL TOGETHER.
