At this point I have no idea what this game is any more. Every few updates its some new shift in a different direction it seems and its been like this for years at this point.

I see that kekpuker is running this in linux. Do you have any particular winetricks / protontricks components installed?
I made the adjustment to UE4SS-settings.ini and with the the latest ge-proton that lutris grabs I can get the game start but it crashes randomly after apparently losing vulkan context.
Sometimes that happens on load, but last time I got into the map and was looking at inventory and cyberware when it happened. Prior to the crash everything was fast and smooth. (RTX 4060 Ti)
Is anyone else playing this in linux?

Believe it or not I have this game running, somewhat, on a Steam Deck. Didn't need to do much tinkering, but do use Proton Experimental. One thing I've never figured out is how to load into other zones. I get the same Lowlevelfatalerror every time I try to leave the first forest area. What adjustments did you make in the ini file?

I've only been half-keeping an eye on things and a quick glossing over the past dozen or so pages leaves me with "we don't know what's wrong. Now we do, use this. No actually, use this now. Also remove these old files. Also don't do this. Also use this crack now."
So a definitive "this is what we've decided as a community is the correct process to get things working" wouldn't hurt.

Well, its a process to troubleshoot but at the front of the page, there is always the crack, fresh AF, people just have to download and unzip it to the game folder. And cracking isnt a new thing at all, i am doing it since 2006 i guess.

But anyway.. Here is the game, precracked, a readme whats transtlated to 26 languages with chatgpt..

The irony of that statement when referring to Delta Zone.

I gave up on it a long time ago, for multiple reasons. It's like a half-baked pie that never had the right mix of ingredients, and comes with broken eggshells as a bonus. If I had to guess it'll be milked for years to come and then die unfinished; buggy every step of the way.

If a crack works, that's just a testament to the tenacity of the community. The game has more bugs/issues than an ant farm existing solely on heroin. The ones that really got to me were the aimbot NPCs and lack of effective stealth mechanics.

Ember befindet sich jetzt auf der neuen Karte Refinery, aber der Entwickler hat die Sumpf-Karte nicht geändert. Das ist wirklich blöd.

I need help. Every time I launch the game it crashes on the content warning screen after the intro animation plays. It only says fatal error w/out an error code. I've tried turning off anti-virus for it, and other unreal engine games launch just fine. Anybody got knowledge on this subject.

Ok, 1 thing that helped me personaly (maybe it will help you awell): go into the folder C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\DeltaZone\Saved\Config\Windows. Delete the shit out of this everything in this folder (if you nervous about it - backup files). Make sure that you applied crack and launch the game.

try to delete the folder C:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\DeltaZone complete and start new that worked for me (sry bad english) it looks like somtime it doesnt work go to main menu and then load again
