This animations looks so shitty, the times where lewdlab was one of the very best western h devs is a thing from the past, sadly.

I'm on the same boat as you two. Yeah, I appreciate the effort but this could have been more. You could have gone full HD mode and given it a graphical update that made it look more like MP. Like the MC's model, the off color shlong. Going through those first few scenes I felt like I was just playing the original, I don't think anyone would have said anything if the backgrounds had been changed at least a big. It even felt like it was lacking animations in certain parts as well. Disappointed that the under the table bj/fj wasn't animated.

I must admit that I am a fan of the story and characters of Dreams of Desire, but I expected some animations of the scenes with the quality that those of the game "The Visit" have, I know they are different developers, but this game with that quality of animations would have been excellent ... a pity.

DoD had 13 updates before it was completed and burried by newer games. In that time the market was smaller than today, so every update back then lasted longer on top of Latest Update, which means more visibility, but since the market was smaller it also mean less people here to Like the game.

Maybe this is the part I'm wrong, and correct me if that's the case, but MP is on v0.14 which means 14 updates (if the version number works in the same way that DoD does), which means less time at the top of Latest Update for visility in each update thanks to the bigger market, but also with way more people to Like the game thanks to the bigger market. Since MP had good graphics, it's easy for the game to shine on this market full of v0.1 low effort games.

So, MP had more updates already, better graphics, full animations, and even if people here say that they hate sandbox, according to most polls in General Discussion, sandbox is still people's favorite. Still MP has less Likes than DoD. It isn't like MP being the 27th most liked game here is a bad or shameful thing either, only god knows how many devs would kill to be in top 50. It's just that DoD was 19th before the DE and now it's 17th.

Hey i get it dod had cult following (I'm one of them) and still has up to some extent, but your reasoning behind mp being "flop" is outright ridiculous. Wait for the mp to finish, if your criteria of not so flop games are based on the likes they garnered. And no, number of updates doesn't necessarily point out stages of development (prologue, body, epilogue) which totally makes the difference in the end.
And your claim of sandbox being people's favorite which has been decided by sum of 257 out of huge 368 voters 2 years ago. So don't you think the sample size is way too small.

This was a great game, but it's time to let it rest in peace.

I really don't have that much free time to go through a story that I already played just for a few (according to the comments) crappy animations.

Quick question - how much further on is this current version from the one I have which is listed as EP12-ELITE-103?

I.E. is there enough added to make it worth downloading the latest version?

The definite version got proper ones, albeit 2 second loops but its not 2-3fps anymore.

So nothing from the trailer ended up in the definitive version? Not that I'm complaining but for those who did pay, isn't it a little bit of false advertising giving the impression there are fully animated scenes with voiceover? Seems to me they were rendered just for the trailer. I guess this is a common practice by now..

Other than that the animations are ok and I think there were a few new scenes as well, but the trailer promised a lot for the overall game and delivered none of it. On to the next one..

great to revisit this game.. with some animination, some new scenes and endings.

was expecting a bit more considering how many months it took to release this version. But it is what it is..
