Could someone explain one thing to me, namely, around Christmas time, he said that almost everything is finished, that is 98 percent finished, that he hoped to release the game to everyone before Christmas and he will do it soon in the next few days.

I must admit, I thought that he would get *something* playable out before the year rolled over.

At this point, it seems like he's trying to see how long he can go without producing a public update. At the moment, he's referring to these spectral and mostly unnamed "testers" as it allows him to produce updates that make it sound as though he's actually been productive and yet nothing is ever made public.

The worst thing for me is that when the update arrives it will be from the life of the past (university I suppose) and not the real continuation .

I would have preferred that the past was just an introductory reading of 1 hour or less and that it simply defined Kate's previous sexual experience and other usable skills in the real game.

When is the Africa and Corfu stuff even from? I remember playing a version of the game that had the character picking up a guy in a bar on a training mission. That was then replaced with the current stuff in the hotel with you stealing the guy's phone. Is the Africa and Corfu stuff from an even earlier build than that?

I'm losing track of all the reboots.

The Africa and Corfu stuff was from the endless lifepath section that has twice been removed from the game but is supposedly being added back once the testers finish writing it. The training bar seduction missions (Glasgow?) were all cut from the game along with pretty much everything that happened in Scotland. Apparently it's not important for an inexperienced agent to receive specialized training for a dangerous undercover field mission, but it is essential that we experience her high school/college days in excruciating detail. The Max seduction mission that takes place in Kuala Lumpur (previously Dubai) has to my knowledge never been cut from the game, but has been reworked and probably will be again, depending on the need for further delays.

Because ChatGPT writes satirical versions which you'd mistake for real progress reports, and the moderators want to see if waiting for an update for this will make AI truly conscious.

AI along with input from the "testers" (the real brains behind this operation) would clearly do a better job given Crush's multi-year struggle to copy pasta from one version of the lifepath to another. Having two or more versions of the same material is just too confusing for a human to handle and can easily lead to an acute case of frazzleitis- which would really set this project back after all the great progress it was showing in 2023 (or was it 2022? anyhoo...).

So I say let's give AI a chance and let Crush concentrate on something he is reasonably good at: finding cute pics to post with his weekly Patreon excuse-a-palooza.

), that should hypothetically be able to write the entire Female Agent saga in fifteen minutes or so (and without having to cry on Patreon!). That would be a dramatic improvement over Crush's 15-20 year pace for possibly completing some of the story.

Why the unwarranted optimism? Twenty years into the development cycle, Kate still won't be bargirling -- we'll be on Lifepath Mk IV and Game Engine Mk V, but there will be no more story progress than we already have.

The make-up system is just comic... It would have made perfect sense to have 'looks' so you choose between like natural girl-next-door and smoky-eyed model and heavier goth/alt with evening variations for all of them. That way you're making decisions about what kind of person your Kate is and what message she wants to send out into the world about herself. You could even have tagged responses to different looks and if you change your look after so many uses of a particular style.

But no... instead we are compelled to squint at a screen and go 'does raspberry go better with this than peach? I'm not sure I can tell the difference' and in the end it doesn't even matter.
