I guess you could change At Large to uncapturable? idk
It's good as it is rn. :)
I might change that for clarity's sake knowing that people might not read that note in the beginning, but At Large is supposed to be a way of saying "they're not capturable yet, but they probably will be eventually." I'd rather use a term like "uncapturable" if there's ever a monster in the game that we know for certain isn't and never will be capturable.

Has zell given any information about the horror game? I think all of the animations were done and he was putting the game together but I doesnt remember how long ago I read this.

Currently on hiatus. (you can check more details in the last section of the post below).

In my opinion, THIS product is dead (as a game), and I’ll now try to explain my reasoning.
The first half of the game is a test of mechanics and new features. The second part (separate) is rich in content (though shorter in duration). It feels like THIS game (or games) serves as a training ground for the developer, where they experiment with new mechanics and see how they work, only to later implement them in proper games. A good example is Succubus Affection, which was released as a fully functional and playable game from start to finish. But this product seems neglected, and the developer will likely never finish it (it’s already been over 5 years). From my perspective, it hasn’t moved forward at all. Recently, when
Karl Speidel asked-what’s new in update, AverageSteve replied- that they’re testing new AI -_-, which only proves that this is a TEST for implementation into a completely new (different) game.
Otherwise, even a simple question arises - why did Succubus Affection come out so quickly (about which little was known), and THIS product still can't reach release and in general it is not clear in % how much work has been done (90%? 50%? 0.000001%? -_- HOW MUCH?). It's worth thinking about.

As confirmation of my words - the author ALREADY let it slip that he is working on Shironoyakata and SuccubusAffection2 and this news is on the dlsite page and he has clearly been working on it for a long time, i.e. another proof of what was said above.
And the question is asked again - is there no time for THIS product? Because it is a TESTING GROUND (I repeat myself already)...

To put it simply—don’t expect THIS to ever reach a full release. Treat it as a tech demo and nothing more, but definitely not as a game.
Shiro No yakata and Succubus Affection aren't zell exclusive games.
That's Ansala.

If you need a history lesson here ya go...

Well then, I never really went too in depth with the game development of these games, and woaw I just got a whoel lot of info from that.

Thanks for sharing the URL for that post and props to TheUnsaid for such a well written and comprehensible explanation on the situation.

Hello, I have a question.

Every time the new update on the game comes out, I always download it but just get to see the new stuff added in, without the demo itself...

How do I get to play the real game demo with the upcoming updates?

How the hell--outline your entire download process and I'll see if I can diagnose the issues, because that is beyond strange.

Firstly: I don't know, if it is normal, to have the game played like this
Secondly: About my download process
I downloaded the zip file from the new update
I was thinking if I join it with the demo file, or if it is played in another way.

Hope you understand

...Have you unzipped the file at all?

Can you guide me on the installation process, showing it to me like I am downloading for the first time?

Okay, I'll try my best.

Your first step is downloading the .zip file, obviously. If you grabbed the correct one for February, then it should look like this. If the .zip part isn't there, that just means your settings are set so that file extensions are invisible. All you need to make sure of is that the main part is the same and the folder has a zipper over it. Y'know because zip--yeah, you probably got that part already.

After doing this, click on the file once so that it is highlighted blue; you'll know it worked when some of the greyed-out buttons on the top light up. The one you're looking for is "Extract all."

1741355607742.png

After you press that button, you'll get a prompt asking where you want to extract the file, something along the lines of this below. If you want to actually download it somewhere specific, I'd suggest just moving the zip file to that location to begin with instead of trying to fiddle with the prompt. Makes a lot less complications that way.

(What it'll look like if you just saved it to Downloads. Keep in mind that "muppe" will be replaced with your Windows username.)

(What it'll look like if it's on external storage.)
1741356395369.png

After the extraction, you should get a file with the same name. (If you have file extensions visible like I do, it won't have the .zip part anymore.) If you have that box in the middle of the screen checked, the the folder you just extracted will open so you can navigate to the demo from there. If not, you'll see a new folder like the one below. Now I did rename mine so it's easier to look at and so I don't get demos mixed up, but what's inside will be the same. I didn't rename the folder inside, so that should be the same at least. There should be nothing there aside from a second folder named as you see below.

At this point, you're pretty much done. Just open the folder and navigate to this file here and double click it to start the program.

From there, just give it a moment to load, and you should be good to go. Now, if you somehow get a Windows Defender pop up, click "Advanced" then click the "Run anyway" button that shows up at the bottom. As suspect as that sounds, Windows Defender just doesn't like most things from F95. If there's genuinely a virus, a secondary virus protection app will detect it.

And that's that. If you have any questions or if there was anything I forgot/wasn't clear about, let me know.

Can I ask you for some photos from your gameplay of february update, just so I make sure if I have done everything correctly?
Thanks in advance! :)
