VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Game of Hearts [Ch.5 R2] [SparkHG]

Definitely one of the more unique VN's I've ever played. Well written and the amount of control you have on the lewd scenes is truly top nootch. The only slight negative for me was the focus on Milf characters. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy an older woman as much as the next guy, but I do also like variety and would've liked more scenes with the younger (or at least younger looking) characters as well. All things considered that's really my only drawback. It's not much of one, so that's why it gets such a high score regardless. Truly one of the better games on this website in recent memory.

Not your typical game, the plot is wonderful, ther characters art is very good, not many fetishes or big choices yet but so far a great game, would recommend any who likes to have dark powers yet be a good guy (atleast the choices I made)

Most underrated game on this website, very good writing,scene and the atmosphere is really good as you corrupt the woman, the updates are frequently quick for its content, hope it gets more popular as the dev deserves it.

This game has very hot corruption themes with build ups. The story is a bit odd and fantastical, but it is done better than most in the genre. I think some things could be improved like the storyline and animations, but overall one of the better games I've played on this site in a while.

One of the few I will come back to and look forward to updates.

Review of Chapter 5 R1

Pros

• Magic-based seduction/corruption is hard to get right. But Game of Hearts does it very well, and it's very hot. It worked for me because it always felt earned, as the player has to carefully select choices in a seduction gameplay loop which plays during most sex scenes, and because we hear the thoughts of the women and see their many orgasms.
• The visual quality is high, as are the animations.
• The story is good so far.

Cons

• I wasn't a massive fan of the choice of models for the girls. I simply never felt that attracted to them visually. However, this may be partly due to SparkHG's choice to keep the lighting almost always dark and moody, even in scenes set in the day. While I respect this as an artistic choice, it, along with the reliance on ultra-close ups, made it harder to appreciate the womens' features.
• The story felt like it's only maybe 20% of the way finished, distinctly in the first act, despite the game having been in development for 2 years. This is partly because the vast majority of the runtime right now is devoted to very long seduction and sex scenes - which I'm not opposed to, but I felt like the balance was off as the game also wants you to take its story very seriously.

Other points

• The older woman LI, presumably in her 40s or 50s, legitimately looks her age, with visible wrinkles, albeit a toned body justified in-universe as due to exercise.

⠀⠀Nice soundtrack, a rarity.
⠀⠀The scenery is gorgeous. The lighting, reflections, blur, angles, focus work and overall post-processing is top tier. You can use some screenshots as wallpapers, that's how good it is.
⠀⠀Sex scenes are the VN's center of attention. They are long and detailed, focusing heavily on eroticism and intimacy and featuring a great variety of choices to suit player's preference. Though, as they're manipulating stats, I guess there are objectively better options, which is tied to this whole demonic power-up system, that I'm not sure how to feel about, it seems a lot like a WIP for now. Animations aren't great and erratic camera movement makes them look even worse. Which does work for the detriment of the experience, but not enough to be a deal-breaker.
⠀⠀Some of the most sensual dialogue I've ever had the pleasure of reading. Albeit, Vocabulary is quite "advanced", there were a fair few words that I had to look up the meaning of, and I'm not sure if they're used correctly given the context. This may be a "me" problem, being the uncultured swine that I am, but coupled with the script having abundance of typos and grammatical mistakes made it hard for me to read at times.
⠀⠀Sizable chunk of the audience expressed their contempt towards models of 2 main characters. I find those very subjective as Maxime with all her features and Meredith's body appear quite attractive to me. Meredith's face on the other hand does have unappealing features like curvy jawline and puffy cheeks, but not a big deal. If anything, it does add to her innocent housewife charm.
⠀⠀Story is good enough to be curious about what's coming next. Usually not a fan of urban fantasy settings of angels and demons and other fictional creatures with magical powers living among us (ඞ), but in this case such premise synergizes well with heavy emphasis on corruption, so I'm all for it.

Concluding, I liked what I saw and looking forward to the updates.

A surprisingly good game, the story is light and well presented with a pretty good focus. Excellent rendering quality and very sexy and long h-scenes.
The author managed to create excellent setting and atmosphere where the story fits quite well.
A good twist is that there is a detailed taboo relationship in the form of Netori which is quite rare, most games would go for incest instead.

This is one of my favorite games. The slow burn corruption is fantastic. It's not just a wham, bam, thank yah mam kind of a game. The character development is great. I'm sure some people just want to get to the sex, but this one has both. Great sex, great characters, great story.

Wow, wow, wow!

This is what I called a quality adult game. The game is primarily about sex, but it is not a fuck fest.

How to explain.... 80% of the game consists of sex scenes, but not one of the encounters is cheap or inconsequential. Every single one of them is deep and very emotional and tells us a 100 little things about the character in question and their relationship with the MC.

The mechanics during the sex scenes is also meaningful and actually makes the already great sex scenes even better!

And then the female characters themselves. One MILF (that is not a MILF) that really looks like a MILF and not some young model where we must just accept that she is an older woman. We can see she is a bit older.

Then a young woman that is not conventionally beautiful but turns out to be superhot with all her flaws. She is to die for.

Then 3 sexy little Devils (or could they be Angels?) that could double up as super models, all with very mysterious pasts.

The way this game approached intimacy is very unique and I have not seen another game that even comes close. The intimacy is driving and is telling the story. It is the main process of storytelling in the game.

Even so the game does not feel like the story is just an excuse to fuck. No mindless falling in love with the MC's magical dick despite the MC being an average Joe.

No, in this game, sex is the agency and medium to tell a very intriguing story. It's not a game to rush. I actually took my time with it and took 3 days to play it with regular breaks in between. It will be a waster to FF any text as there are no boring parts to this game.

Easy 5/5 from me. A very unique AVN that really impressed me. In general, I'm not a fan of harem games with lots of LI as those games tend to become one huge fuck fest with the MC's magic dick causing girls to fall on the guy's dick 5 minutes after meeting him.
I'm pleased to say that it's not the case in this game, despite big percentage of the game revolving around sex.

I am giving this a 3 star due to the situation created in the story. I like corrupting one of the main LIs by giving her and her husband money for porn shoots. Turn on! The dialogue is not great, very stilted and just not the way two normal people converse. Maybe that is an ESL thing, but it makes the characters have less meaning. The renders are great, but the animations are average at best. The bjs scenes are not great, everything is a tad dark, and all the sex shots are close-ups. Why do that? Let's see a pussy, tit, and face in the same GD shot. The story is every other my dad is a high demon blah .. blah .. blah. Easy ignore.

If Corruption AVNs had a perfection category, Game of HEarts would be at the the top of this game, It is a game that not only does perfection right, but makes you discover feelings that are generally not found in this genre i.e, both deep regret and arousal , amixture I never thought possible in this corrupt genre and that too with plain s*x . I mean everything here is near perfection till now, I just pray it doesn't fumble , because as of now I feel this game doesn't have any clear long term direction just immediate goals.

I don't want this game to loose its overarching development i.e, gradual control through influence and magic. The biggest challenge for developer would be to expand cast beyond girls and gradually developing these relation, so that they all feel natural corruption

This is the kind of game I’d call “absolute cinema.” The dialogues are deep, intimate, sweet, and so smooth that I can almost feel Meredith’s presence. Her facial expressions are incredibly lifelike, and the lighting and colors in the renders are perfect. Sincere congratulations to the developer or developers behind this masterpiece.

As a player who isn’t a sponsor and whose only contribution is this review, here’s my humble request: I love the focus on Meredith. While I’ve seen others ask for more female characters in the game, I personally believe that keeping the spotlight on Meredith is ideal (just my opinion). I understand it takes significant effort, but I’d love to see the game explore themes like pregnancy and related elements—things like adult breastfeeding, intimacy during pregnancy, and other aspects tied to this theme would be a welcome addition.

These are my two cents. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is that it’s still a game in development, and I’ve seen some promising games on f95 end abruptly or with poorly developed conclusions.

First thing that drew me in was Merideth's body. She is perfectly curvy with a cute face! Not many games have realistic thicc girls so it was nice to see. The story is a little slow at first, but it only adds to the anticipation and ultimately makes the payoff so good! If you want something fast and easy, this isn't for you. If you want to earn your scenes with a gorgeous girl, download this beauty.

The best CG renders and animations (which non 2 sec loops). Also, interesting story and gameplay mechanic with choices during scenes.

Scenes are long and beautiful. This is truly 3D art. I never seen such a good work with light and especially face emotions.

There is lack of SFX, but that's not big deal because music is setting all the mood.

This game is suitable for those of you who are looking for a natural romance story. I really like how this story builds romantic relationships between each character (love route). In my view, this game teaches how to treat women with respect even though there are some things that I think are excessive and impossible to happen in real life (love route). However, I enjoyed the story this game offered and i hope the developer can complete this game project to completion.

Decent game but suffers from a couple major flaws that prevents it from being good. Meredith and Maxime are neither attractive or interesting to me. The rest of the LI's are though. Normally I wouldn't have an issue with this but the plot is centered around the former (for now). The writing suffers from bad translation and grammar, which ruin the immersion for me. I don't have any other gripes about the game.

Hell yeah, this shit is what I'm looking for in this site. This have everything I like, decent plot, REALLY hot lewd scenes, gorgeous LI, some netori, and a lot of choices. I hope the updates are faster because this one is fire.
If you wonder if this is worth playing, then I will tell you yes, IT IS.

Prompted by the negative comments I received, I thought I might have been mistaken and misunderstood something. So I tried again. And I must say that I was in fact completely wrong. I still don't like the author's writing style but it's not as bad as it first seemed to me. Otherwise the story is good and the characters aren't bad either.

I rarely write reviews because most of the time i don't care enough,but i must give credits when it's due. This game reminded me of a game which was abruptly abandoned, Chains of Pleasure. It had such a cool story and characters/interactions.

This game gave me similiar feels,in a good way. The scenes are awesomely written,i wouldn't mind if there wasn't any animations (but there is, nonetheless) because the writing of each scene feels realistic, erotic and sensual at the same time. What i mean is,it's not just some general lines and moaning,but completely describes how the included characters feel,and explain why they are doing what they are doing. (Thats a weird sentence,heh) I really like the corruption of game,not the usual turboslut route,where you get between their legs under 10 minutes and they are forever in love with you.

You have to work for their acceptance,affection and corruption - like a mini game,but it's tied to the scenes,not put in a different screen to ruin the experience. You get to "power up" your character,the more you make the girls cum,the more power you get at the end of the day. It's really a good system,because it enhance the gameplay part as well. I hope to see the game finished one day, it got me entertained from start to the end. (of it's current version. CH5.R1)
