Seriously. Maybe the dev doesn't even know yet...ffs, the update has literally just dropped. Why isn't anyone asking the most important question? How is any of what we accomplished in this part going to transfer over to the next part?![]()
Season 1 is over.I was going to wait for an update or two form this game, then check it out.. but then it just ended
Im guessing the game isnt very long then ?
Among the first games I played when I arrived in the forum were insexsity and simbro. Nice little games indeed and they updated quickly. Are you trying to compare the quality of those games to the quality of current games?I haven't complained about this particular developer being slow but I ABSOLUTELY will continue to complain about the fact most of the visual novels are now only updating every 8 months to a year. This is goddamn ridiculous and the market is going to eventually crumble due to all the feet dragging and milking (and general oversaturation along with the issue of most projects ending up abandoned even more often nowadays).
I don't think it was an unjustified question. Even if the update has just literally dropped, that sort of thing is something any dev should think about beforehand.Seriously. Maybe the dev doesn't even know yet...ffs, the update has literally just dropped.
Maybe exporting won't even be needed? He simplifying his code...not doing a DPC....might just be a few questions in the sequel, love or corrupt Meredith for example.you didn't think of a way of exporting their saves to the next season

There's a multitude of games out there that import a save from a first "season". It's far from insurmountable.I don't think it was an unjustified question. Even if the update has just literally dropped, that sort of thing is something any dev should think about beforehand.
Imagine making everyone replay a game from the beginning that they just finished because you didn't think of a way of exporting their saves to the next season when the last version was released. Real lovers of this game will have no problem doing it, but the bulk of the player base will groan and roll their eyes.
Now, my guess is the dev may implement the typical "Before we start, tell me what you chose in Season 1" system.
Why? I don't see anything serious in this, not to mention that season 2 hasn't even come out yet and we don't know the point. Why isn't anyone asking the most important question? How is any of what we accomplished in this part going to transfer over to the next part?![]()
Exactly, that's what I mentioned right at the end of my message. With that method he won't need to export any variables to the sequel.Maybe exporting won't even be needed? He simplifying his code...not doing a DPC....might just be a few questions in the sequel, love or corrupt Meredith for example.
I don't know the first thing about developing a game, so as far as timelines go have no clue what it takes to finish one or update one. but most of the games that are top tier animations story and that tick most boxes are that long in the cycle. Given that from my own knowledge of developers I follow very few do this as a full time job. So perhaps this is also why it takes so long.I haven't complained about this particular developer being slow but I ABSOLUTELY will continue to complain about the fact most of the visual novels are now only updating every 8 months to a year. This is goddamn ridiculous and the market is going to eventually crumble due to all the feet dragging and milking (and general oversaturation along with the issue of most projects ending up abandoned even more often nowadays).
about the same i was going to say.. Keep it up DEV, keep it going. In the latest update we concluded meredith's story and behind the story of julia's existence got me more hyped about future story of the VN.can't wait to find out about future LIs and MC's growth toward when he finally meeting Lilith...good luck with this masterpiece DEV keep up the good work![]()
