How intriguing I would never considered that for someone a wheelchair would need to be an absolute bit each to there own I won't shame anyonehe certainly has a preference regarding physical appearance. But the wheelchair is essential. He also tried, many years ago, to explain why to me but honestly I never really understood what triggers this in his head. For a while I thought he liked the feeling of taking care of the things they couldn't do. But that's not it. Or maybe it is partly that. Over the years I've realized that the idea I had formed didn't exactly fit the reality. I've never 100% understood how he experiences it.
I wonder does he see it like an accessory sort of thing , you know how people will prefer people with glasses etc
Also just to clarify I am not saying a wheelchair is an accessory as the last thing I would want to do is offend anyone
