games quit on skipping dialogue, game randomly puts a "in a future update" screen and quits without giving me chance to go back, missing AI tag for some of the stuff tho that might be just the first cutscene.... not reviewing since I can't really play it as is
That is the current bug. If you get the future update screen, just use the map to go back, as a workaround.

Not much to say as there's not much to do at this point. Renders look good, Tag are interesting. We'll see if this game survive long enough to get something interesting. Just be aware the ESRB has sued people in the past for misappropriating their trademark rating system. I doubt you sent them your game for rating so just be aware of that.

So what even is there to do in this? Like 90% of it is just "coming in a future update" and the other 10% is really difficult to play because skipping just boots you to the main menu.

#1. Stop skipping and you won't have that problem.
#2. There are 3 places that give you a coming in a future update. Far from 90%
#3. Games don't just appear out of thin air. They take time to make. If you're not happy with the experience. Go make your own game.

Thank you! Yea it's only been out for three weeks so it's got a long way to go, a lot more bugs to squash, but we'll get there.

People don't realize the WALLS of code I had to write just to get lighting and SFX to change based on time of day. Or the 10 outfit changes that dynamically switch when you change clothes depending on the day of the week. There's so much code behind the game that people are upset there isn't more scenes. But I had to do all the code first. lol. And if I didn't release the game, someone would rip it from my Patreon and release it, so I released it as a demo at first, and like all other devs, I will continue creating it with the communities involvement.

Pretty incredible start, especially for a new first time dev. The animations are fantastic so far. Biggest suggestion I have is a hint / task system to help guide players to what's next. Saves a ton of frustration in sandbox games. I wish you luck in this project and I'll certainly be following your updates.

Yea I would LOVE to add a system like that, but I'm just not sure how I'd go about doing it right now and I haven't looked into it yet. I'm having a hard enough time remember to put flags where they belong lol.

I'm glad you like the animations. It was the one part I was REALLY worried wouldn't look good.

1) This is the only Ren'Py game I've ever played where skipping puts you to the main menu, literally just accidentally tapping ctrl will do it, whether skipping is enabled or not.
2) There are far more than three places. All of the cabins, most of the rooms in the house, the sable area, that's like 90% of the map.
3) I never said anything negative about the game, just pointing out a bug and the lack of content. If I were to make a game, I'd wait til there was actual substance to it before releasing it.

And quit with the whole "if you don't like it, leave" attitude. If you get like that when people point out bugs and express disappointment that your game is good and they wish there was more, you're not gonna have a fanbase for long.

Most people don't know how hard it is to make a game. It's not just writing a coherent and compelling story, if it were that easy, we would be overloaded with game choices and before long, developers would realize that making them is just a waste of time and money. It's writing a story, and next writing a script for the story. And making the artwork (BTW, yours looks great) And after all that, days upon days coding, play testing, spell-checking, and debugging. And after that people harp on it for this or that.
My advice is, quit reading comments. I get the feeling that you know what you are after, so don't let the Harpies occupy any of your thoughts and time, unless they are paying for that privilege!

You said, and I quote. "What even is there to do in this? Like 90% of it is just "coming in a future update" and the other 10% is really difficult to play because skipping just boots you to the main menu."

#1. If this is the only renpy game you've played with a bug, then you haven't played any.

#2. That's not telling me about bugs. It's bitching. And I gave you three answers. Also, please do make a game. And then come back and talk to me. I have chosen to release my game when it was in demo state because I didn't want it getting ripped from my Patreon and having someone else in control of the page here on F95Zone.

#3. And no, I won't quit with the "If you don't like it don't play it" attitude. I do things how I do them and if you don't like it, you don't have to play. It's as simple as that. You're absorbing free content and complaining about it.

#4. There's a lack of content because the game came out THREE WEEKS AGO. I started writing the story THREE MONTHS AGO. If you want more content, follow the game like everyone else. Complaining about it isn't going to magically create a clone of me to help make content faster. I'm working 17 hours a day 7 days a week on this. I'm putting out content at a very good speed.

#5. The map is (Different images for 5 different times of day) times, 20 locations... 6 of them are coming in a future update... That's 100 locations you can go to, and 5 you can't....

Game keeps exiting to main menu on skipping dialogues, and future content image... Unplayable
Hope it gets fixed soon and good luck.

Whatever, no use arguing with someone who can't take criticism. Game devs like that don't last very long.

That is the current bug. If you get the future update screen, just use the map to go back, as a workaround.
Or just roll back with the mouse wheel. But I suggest changing this almost blank "future update" screen to a label on the clickable area or a popup so people avoid clicking on what's not implemented. Or even disable buttons of non-implemented regions when possible.

Overall, the game seems promising. I like this use of AI as an effect over Daz (and I think there should be a label to distinguish it from from-the-scratch-generated AI). People who don't know Daz may think it's pure AI, but, for those who know Daz and its assets, it's clear that AI's being used only like a filter/post-work tool (for instance, I bet the protagonist is that cutie, ).

When there's more content, I'll do a review. Right now—either positive or negative—, I think it's quite unfair to rate a game at this stage (in fact, I'd like to know what's going on in the minds of people who do it).
