The remaster is not visual upgrade, it pretty much changes the games every part, such as the ui, more choices, more character development and more. So the remaster will just be a much better version of the game in general.
as someone who hasn't really kept up with posts, the discord and anything else since the 0.1 release - why remaster it? i genuinely found the initial release to be great & have been waiting for more content since then. i think i was one of the first people to leave a 5 star review, too is there any overwhelming majority of people who want it remastered or are you guys personally not satisfied with it?

i really liked the way the game was on release and i hope it stays that way. if anything, i'd just love to see updated renders, or maybe more of them. or more choices in general. but i truly hope you guys aren't changing the actual direction/plot of the game because it is great as it is, imo!

What all is changed as Astral says. Is the renders and animations. Also it has more character development, more lore, added scenes and short stories. Also the entire UI is overhauled. This is also why it is taking so long to finish. We decided to remaster now rather then the end since the quality has so much improved atm and to add more lore. Once the remaster is done though the game cause of us fully finishing everything around it. Updates should go a lot faster. The short stories are primarily non-canon. They are mostly not part of the main story and are their own short little stories. There will be a couple that add some additional lore, but most are just extra stories.Suggestion for the short stories, show what happens to the twintail girl.
It was postponed by one day. Release day is tomorrow, for sure. Just over 1700 renders were redone in one week, so it took one day extra.
so the dev says it's avoidable, the other poster (who apparently claims to be a representative of the dev, according to the review) says it's necessary for the story and not avoidable, that sounds like it's not really completely avoidable and the player is going to have to endure some forced scenes before they can actually avoid it? (dev, it would be best to ask for ownership of the thread and modify the description by writing that or putting that description in dev notes)
Well... Becoming the thread owner of my own thread is something that would be nice, but it comes with some strange drawbacks. Like... I'm forced to allow people to make mods for my game which is fine ofc, BUT, I also am forced to let them post the exclusive releases such as Patreon release. Yes, the game will have multiple main endings, which branches out. Good ending, bad ending, many more endings, depending on the choices you made in the game.

Lol, no. Hundreds of people go missing all the time while traveling and no one bats an eye, and the lion's share of them are still unsolved. The only time ONE country cares, usually the one the person got lost in, is because it very luckily makes headlines and they're worried it might affect tourism.
He's being a bit rude but still has a good point, NTR will turn a ton of people off, especially if it's unavoidable. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches later if you're clear about stuff like this from the start, especially if you think you might have it down the line.
