I think the gazebo hype is mostly just an old school mentality, it's been pretty nerfed over the past few patches (though it's still decent to be fair).
It used to be that you could do pool parties at any time and get full affection/happiness for everyone, so you could spend the whole day doing whatever (either working, or doing other affection-raising actions), then after midnight when everyone is asleep you run a pool party and get even more affection.
Then they changed it so you can't run a pool party after 10 PM (which would make it end after midnight). And then in a more recent patch they changed it so only people who are actually available can attend and get the bonuses. So now it's just equivalent to any other party because you effectively can only do it during normal party hours if you actually want everyone to get the boost.
Well dinner parties do take longer and they're also more clicks to set up. Plus, what else are you going to build in the small building spot that you normally put the gazebo? The statue? A small garden? The main problem with it right now is it caps at loving and everyone's affection decays unless they're beyond undying. So from that standpoint the dinner parties are better since they're uncapped. Those are the best way to get males to stable affection.

I use the dungeon to get females maxed out but it takes awhile to get skills up to the point where that's really viable. So in the meantime the pool parties are a good way to boost the dozens of venemous people you get up to loving (or at least high enough to be useful).

Btw, and this might be a pretty silly question. Is there any way to check the logs and how people changed if you sleep at midnight or later? Cause at 12 the day passes, food, influence, money is affected etc, but I can only read the logs for the people living at home if I sleep before 12.

So looking at the educator stuff it tells me that Felix can train brawler but that it requires a physical school. What is that? It doesn't seem to be the dojo because I already have that built and maxed out. Is there a new option for a school that I'm missing somewhere?

Again with the Dengi Invasion....

Clearly the losses of the Dengi are not working right. I have advanced in my game, taking carful notes of the daily losses. My starting point was

  • Base depletion (dengi warriors): -20-25/day.
  • IMS Ulthar is built: -15/day
  • City Power is 15,000+: -10/day
  • Aesir Power is 1,000+: -10/day.
  • Cyker Power is 900+: -5/day.
  • Defeating a dengi marauder enemy POI: -5/encounter.
So, I must espect 60-65 losses in the Dengi side, + the action of the MC and his strike group. Latter in the run, the Control of the city reached 90, that adds other +20

The results have been interesting, to say the least.

In 17 days, the losses of the Dengi have been in the range of 50-54 before reaching Control 90 and 70-74 after this, with an odd 49 (that can well be a mistake on my side taking note).

First conclusion. Defeating a Dengi Marauder Enemy POI makes nothing. In the 17 days run I have one day with zero combats, and one day with 12 combats. Result? 74 losses the day of 0 combats, 72 losses the day of 12 coabats. it never mind if the MC stay at home banging slaves or if he is in the field banging Dengis.

Second conclusion. Either the -10 of the City Power or the -10 of the Aesir Faction don´t work properly.

Can any of the Techies, code savants, of this threat have a look at the code to confirm or deny my notebook conclusions?

Oh so I just have to switch him to physical trainer instead of combat trainer?
No, you have to have them both turned on at the same time.

Educators can train multiple things at the same time. There's just a penalty for more than two templates.

If you look at the screenshot, Bolondro has 4 templates activated.

Oh I see now. Didn't notice you could have multiple templates on at the same time. Cool.

I'm actually starting this game finally. Is there any crack for tier 2 quest? Or we only got the public releases here?

What this game desperately needs is a good summary screen combining NPC stats with job requirements and performance estimates for different people/jobs. I know that this is basically a Paradox Interactive-like datasexual H-game but come on, as soon as you start having a decent amount of NPCs in your househould and building up your investments, you end up having to spend like 90% of your playtime just clicking through screens and comparing numbers. As long as you care about managing your empire at least half-decently that is
