The second-last update (v0.25) started, iirc, when MC went to buy lingerie for Joyce. That was for the main story.
Then, as you finish that, the last update (v.026) starts but there are only sandbox events, no main story.

Yeah I get that. I just didn't know if there was a time and place that you needed to be to make the sandbox event happen

Sandbox events are just in the calendar. If you were 100% up to date after update 0.25 then you would be able to go into the calendar and it would show new events for Joyce (purple text) and an incomplete score for her (e.g., 90/95). There's no time or place you need to be to activate them, they will just appear. The calendar will of course then tell you when and where her next new scene will be, however. If you weren't at 100% from update 0.26, the new sandbox events will still be in the calendar, you just might have some already outstanding before you get to them.

I do. Seems like the hotspots for mouseover events are always active. I figured it's probably because I had Shawns Mod active on 0.25 but not on 0.26, or that something else broke during the upgrade. But I didn't have the energy to start messing around with it, and I noticed that as long as you're careful to place the mouse pointer in the middle of the screen you can play more or less as normal. (And if you accidentally click on the map you can do a rollback.)

Hi. I installed .26 but when it i opened it and went to "load" the saves were from old saves and not the ones from when i ended .25. How can i access so i can play .26 properly?

Exception: The first frame image doesn't exist for <Sb Joyce Changing Hj Anim 1_GMFSS-2x_rhea1.mov.webm> animation in <videos/sandbox/joyce/frames> folder. It can be a .webp or .jpg image.

The problem is on your side. Because there is no Sb Joyce Changing Hj Anim 1_GMFSS-2x_rhea1.mov.webm in videos and so, no need to find the first frame associated with it

that's my fault, i've left a 4k file into the 1080p mod
you can just delete this file from the folder "\...\MidnightParadise-0.26-pc-elite\game\videos\sandbox\joyce\" It should solve the issue

did you copy old saves from 0.25 folder to 0.26? there could be "new" saves at .26 folder.

I have to ask it again because I still haven't been able to move forward...
I'm stuck. I've done everything that there was to do on the calendar (everything there is grey now), and I've done Ms. Janes quests up to the point where she leaves, then sends you a text a week later. At the end of that text chain, she says see you soon...but she isn't showing back up. I have not acquired the laptop yet and nothing I do is progressing the game.

I can't remember back there to offer specific help, but if you've not bought the laptop yet, there must be other quests that are incomplete. Perhaps you need to move on those before the next part of Jane's quest opens up?
Is it so hard to use search on this topic?

anyone else's game not even loading up after launching? mine just goes to not responding still
If you got a white empty window, then close the game , then restart it and start to press Shift. A white config page should open up after some loading. There select Angle2 renderer.
After this close the game and restart normally.
You only need to do this once.
