Uff... that just makes me even more sad that DrPinkCake has only like 600 patrons, it's been more than half a day and i am still stuck replaying Being a DIK and it's only the first release lol. I really hope the support for him takes off, i wanna see more Devs like him.
I feel the same. He seriously deserves to be the most popular adult games creator on Patreon. The work that he does is just incredible. And some creators have a lot of patrons just because they are making incest games.

Well lets try this: What did you guys think of the girls?
The Mom and older sis is probably the clear winners in popularity. And I can see the little sis grow once she gets some development, same with the teacher.
but what's wrong with little sis? i think she's kinda hot too, like mom and older sis

Quoting one of the reviews

Thankful? We're supposed to be thankful that a dev making 30-40,000$ a month (and after 6 months of development time) throws us a lackluster release?

Whether you've pledged to this dev before like some of us have, or not, you still have every right to be critical of the product and compare it to others being released - DIK being the perfect example of a dev getting it right.
Check out graphtreon.com/creator/lewdlab. Follow the green line to its peak (at which point he hid public stats), and you see 36,000. He probably hit 50,000 at some point if you extrapolate.

The numbers make this demo seem trashy. It took almost 200,000$ to release, over 6 months.
It feels like the dev hoarded all the money for himself and didn't want to hire collaborators.

Why don't you show a screenshot. It would make it easier to explain.

nah.. your figures are do high, but it should be close to ~ $100,000.

To be honest, the renders are looking amazing. For Story+dialogues: I can't say much about it.. did not read the dialogues yet. Only tested the functionality of the game.

Coding: Not sure if he (Dr. Sins) hired the coders after or before the beta release, but experienced coder would have done a much better job. And I also assume that a experienced coder would not need a game template from the Unity store, The same for the dialogue system.

The beta was created in "Adventure Creator" + a lot of window-decoraction assets (eye-candy) from the Unity store.

Here is the link to Adventure Creator:

Description: Adventure Creator is the only asset you need to make a traditional 2D, 2.5D or 3D adventure game in Unity - no coding required.

NO CODING REQUIRED!!! And this is exactly how the Beta looks like - no coder worked on it!

Recently I played a demo and the Dev told me, that he has no coding experience at all. Looking at his UI, Dialogue Box etc... I was able to see the same basic functions as in Midnight Paradise (without all the eye-candy of course). I asked him if he used Adventure Creator to make his game, and his answer was: "No, I coded everything in C++ myself!"

If a noob was able to code basic game functions as UI. dialog box etc.. why weren't two, let me repeat it, TWO CODERS, not able to code a functional UI with an working Save-/Loading-System?? Everything they want to re-work or implant for v0.0.2 should have been already in the beta version!

The only issue I have with Midnight Paradise is the lack of essential working basic functions! And for this I only can blame lewdlab's TWO CODERS! (Ofc only if they worked from the beginning on MP and did not join the team after the beta was build!)

But I'm optimistic that this game will turn out just fine with a nice story and amazing renders of "Landlady" and hot teacher!

Since Dreams of Desire ended, he's had 6-7 months for this release, making around 30,000$ a month. That comes to around 200,000 (rounded).

He clearly wanted to implement gameplay features that required unity, but cut them out. Had to reboot the project for some reason. You're right about the coders. I don't think he's hired any.

After DoD he made Tracy: The Lost Memories which was updated on 15/09/2018 ( ) the last time.

Assuming all of them took a 4-week vacation after the last release (which I would totally understand and support), then the development time for MP's first release took 3,5 months. Considering this, shows, that the first release is in the same update cycles as other major games take to release an update.

However, a team with two coders (experienced in C++) could have done a better job as what he saw in the beta version.

To me, The Lost Memories was a filler bonus release, not sure it counts. It reused assets from DoD, and had an episode's worth of content stretched out over 3-4 months.

For CG's I used this program:

For Videos this:

Normally both programs should be able to extract CGs and Videos, but unfortunately Midnight Paradise is a special snow flake in this case.

After you installed the programs you should watch some tutorials on YouTube, because I'm to lazy to explain an off-topic in a game thread ;)

Its not the patch that does the work. Consider it like a key that the game checks for. If it finds it, it unlocks a different settings. In a nutshell. So it doesn't have to contain anything.
I did not know any that. Thank you. :)
