well there are worse like making remake of old game which dev didn't finish years ago but kept collecting supporters money or making 6 or so games full of bugs (some got fixed by players none by dev) and some got abandoned cuz dev had enuf and started new project with new bugs.
Well, did he ever release a fake update giving the title new update but in fact it was an old one which players have already played before?
yea there are many scammers who have too many idiots believeng and supporting scammers and too many devs who don't get enuf support and have to drop game.

It’s just amazing his patrons allow him to get away with “remastering” a game that got finished only like 2 years ago while he’s in the middle of making a new game. Why did he have to remake DoD now? Why couldn’t it wait until after MP was done? Probably because making a brand new game requires more work (even though judging by the actual content he was putting out with each release he wasn’t working all that much anyway). It takes even less work to “remaster” an a completed game, then he can release it on steam for a big payday, and in the meantime his patrons keep giving him money every month for no new content. I just really don’t understand how so many patrons of so many different devs just let themselves be so obviously taken advantage of.
I guess the Dev has no clue haw to develope the plot and where to move MC accordingly to the plot. He has to buy some time blaming it on the DoD.

The only borderline messed up way I can rationalize what happens with these sheep like patreons is that so many of them have to be rich to think of 10 or 20 dollars a month or more, after a year hundreds, as very little money, what would for a normal person be the equivalent of buying a cup of coffee.
The developer just got insolent. Why would he release updates when he was already getting paid on Patreon ? What people are waiting for is not clear. They would spit on him and not pay him money for his deception.
