It's sad because he took a break from MP in the end of past year to work in DoD just to not get burnout and in the end he gets butnout anyway. Make this DoD: DE was simply a huge mistake. Fucked with the whole year of the doc
So this is a sympathy post to get people off his back.

Stress and depression form competition, deadline, going things wrong. But, isn't it suppose to happen when you are a developer of that caliber with that much paying members. You're paid more to work more. Isn't that how our chaotic online world works? Am I being harsh on LewdLab?

At least you are not alone in your opinion, but if you have no idea about burnout and depression,
you should probably keep your mouth shut and do something different than talk about sick people.

Read between the lines. This game is dead and he prefer to revamp old finished game instead of continue this one. It's like breaking up with your current good looking girlfriend and back to ex,because she was better fuck.

Hopefully we get Midnight Paradise November 2021 too.
But for me, its a wait and see. Lack of transparency from the dev
I hope he rocovers and gets his life sorted out. It would be a shame if he stoped developing the games.

LOL, we all have work that stresses us out. I also work in IT industry and have deadlines on projects and managers are breathing on my beck. I could easily loose my job. But do I stop working? - NO.
He is just whining, because he got too comfortable that he is getting paid and slacking off. This "mental issue" pandemic is just alibism not to work and getting paid - milking.

It’s just a sympathy/pity post. Even if we assume everything about his depression, covid, burnout and whatnot are true it still makes no sense. Why isn’t that being communicated? Why doesn’t he tell people he’s going to take weeks/months off from working because he’s sick or depressed, or is too burnt out and needs a break.
He says he doesn’t do it because he’s afraid of losing his support by being honest and transparent about not working for what would be valid reasons? That’s just ridiculous and makes no sense, as he would lose more support by not communicating and not releasing anything.
if he was truly afraid of losing support he wouldn’t keep his supporters on the dark with no updates, he’d keep them updated and tell them the truth.
This just makes me doubt how honest he’s being and makes me think he’s just looking for sympathy, pity, and excuses. But whatever, what do I know? This is why I’ll never give a dime to any dev, you just can’t trust them.
Is it just me or is that post of his more see through/transparent than glass? DOD never needed a damn remaster in the first place yet he still went ahead with it. If he was burnt out, all he had to do is release an MP update this year and tell his patrons that he'll take a break for couple months. But he went ahead to another project to get even more burnt out. What a joke.
