If someone continues to make this game using the same character rendering, will it lead to infringement?

It depends on the models. If this developer created his or her own models, he or she would be the sole owner of those models. No one can use those models without his/her permission. But if the developer bought the models, then any developer can create a game by buying the same models. Also, the game story can be similar to the original but not exactly the same.
Nah, it looks like that LewdLab uses the DAZ pre-rendered models only and morphs them a bit. If he made a custom model from ground up, then it would be copyright but since he is just mixing and morphing the already available models so it cannot be struck down via copyright.

Hey everyone
As promised, a set of preview images are here from the upcoming 0.17 release of Midnight Paradise.
If you have been wondering why I haven't posted for a long time, it is because of the mean spirited comments.
For those people, let me just say this: You don't know how long it takes to make a game, even if it's a simple one like mine. You have no idea how much work goes into this. I haven't been slacking off. Everyone on the team works hard to put out this huge update. Posting updates and getting comments like that makes me not want to post updates.
Now, about the release, we are over the 2 000 renders mark, over 130 animations, and (as you can see from the previews) Ruby's storyline will progress significantly as promised, not just the sandbox stuff.
This is where her routes will fork, based on your actions and choices with her throughout the game.
I tried to make both routes equally hot. I think I managed to do that.
This is the last set of previews before the release. 50 preview images altogether for 0.17, All different scenes. And of course there is stuff I haven't shown here.
Well, I'll see if I'll have some time tomorrow to make a render for New Year's Eve, but if not, well, I hope you'll have a Happy New Year!

Now now, do not be mean or Mr. Lewdlab will be offended and will not release this HUGE update. I mean the reason why it took so long are mean comments. What a joke. How many times did he promise the updates will be released more often? I remember many times he tried to do some changes after which he said it will be easier to do more frequent updates. But hey, it is always someone else´s fault, this time the annoying fans.

So what the hell this means, is that we still have 50 previws to see before release or that it was 50 previews till now for v0.17?!?!
This animations and renders are above for what allready have in game or this is the whole game?

Here’s 0.17, it took me exactly 9 months and 2 weeks and 1 day and 2 hours and 25 minutes to finally publish this HUGE update!
Now ima take my rightly deserved break cause I’m drenched!
I’ll see you with 0.17.5 in like… 3 years, yeah that seems reasonable I think considering it’s also gonna be fucking HUMONGOUS.
HOPE YOU ENJOY!
(As I said 0.17 is supposed to be BIG, so take your time would you now, I don’t need any more complaints that this update felt really fucking short…so….take it slow….welp you can’t load old saves either way so fuck you )

Interesting there is no information about how many "tasks" left to be done after all this time
Seems devs really live in another dimension. This game has been in development for almost 4 years filled almost entirely with nothing more than teasing and blueballing. In 2021 he said the game finally entered in the final phase, which will be the longest and finally with sex with the main girls. And exactly in this moment he decided completely drag the development of MP even more: first with that remaster of DoD and now with this "super-huge-ultra" update that will force everyone play the game from the scratch again.
In the last two years (2021 and 2022) this game receive only three updates. Three. And just right in the moment everyone was expecting since 2019. Really baffles me how these porn game dev love play the victims as if they were perfect and never did nothing wrong.
Did he upload the wrong pictures? I don't see anything in those that would suggest a significant progress
