Does anyone have the JAST version of the game since the watermark removal patch is broken for the steam version?
I think this IS the Jast version in the OP, actually.
Also, going by what someone else said here, the Steam "vanilla" + Jast uncen patch actually results in the same, watermarked experience. I'm guessing that some very enthusiastic Chinese guy did a watermark removal for the Chinese version, but it won't work for the English version. (the watermark remover cg.npk is like 1/4 of the size of the English version's cg.npk... dunno how they have managed that lol)

Also, going by the one scene I've made it to so far, it doesn't seem to be as bothersome as I had previously feared.

Ah...actually this is the steam version since it has an "mojika_en_Steam" in the files along with "steam_api.dll" and "steam_appid.txt" in it too. But you may be right that the JAST version of Mojika may also have the watermark too
and I agree that the watermark isn't too distracting (as it's in the corner).

I think it's still possible to modify the watermark out manually in the future but I don't need it, I've been playing the game and enjoying it a lot! I'm interested in the story and the MC's struggle with himself passing the breaking point, and what revenge will entail and more!

OH and I noticed that a recent steam update for Mojika on steam removed the JAST "launcher.exe" plus other files for the steam version, nothing too big alright.

Yup!
Oh and I re-downloaded the JAST patch and re-apply it to the steam version of the game I downloaded here (or well from ryuugames), I noticed that the JAST patch timestamp is very different from the version on here by 1 hour, didn't see any filesize change though...just wanted to mention that too!

It's probably nothing but something I observed...
You'll most likely have to delete/restart the game from the beginning if you update the patch, thankfully I haven't started the game before re-applying the patch heh.

See ya!

...Erm...This is what is in the downloads from the OP... Just saying.

I actually also checked steamdb.info, to with certainty be able to say that it's the jast version in here before posting - so that I wouldn't accidentally be misinforming or anything... xD
You must have mixed up your downloads.

At any rate, good to have confirmation about the watermark - and its fortunate non-excessiveness. (I agree)

Bro, I have gone through enough shit, in my life, not sure if I want to go through this.
ngl man, the story is really good, it has a very interesting perspective that is told in, that being the mc looking mostly at the ground. Very well written
the double edge to that very sword is i feel like this VN wants to make you feel bad and it succeeded at least with me on every ending ive gotten so far. The endings i got arent even the "bad" endings on top of that. I wouldnt recommend this if youre trying to get off, but theres some scenes that could prolly do it for some, didnt work out for me though.

I like how the wordsight and MC looking down on the ground feels like a take on people with low self-esteem. In real life, we can't know what other people are thinking but if we believe bad things about ourselves, we assume others are thinking the same

Guys, I need some help, I played through, never got a single choice, credits rolled, end.
Should I start a new game ? The fcking text is so slow I wanna die and it's driving me insane.

Wtf, reading through the reviews it seems I missed a lot, look or don't look ? I never got a choice. Now I hit a new game and I'm still not given any choices , tf.

so this VN you play as a ugly guy that's being bullied gets powers and punishes his wrongdoers?
That's the premise yes. But you should also know this is an utsuge (a depressing game) combined as with some torture porn

so it doesn't go as planned for the protagonist. Still an interesting read IMO. Reminded me a lot of Euphoria, where I stopped caring about the porn and stayed for the mystery.

I honestly don't get what everyone sees in this game, it is, in fact, extremely low quality. Even barring the fact that it is not my specific kink it is objectively bad.

But I have noticed that very critical reviews are being taken down (when I posted there were one star reviews, now there are none) which is artificially inflating the rating on this website (including my own because it "broke the rules of reviews" and yet the automated system in no way elaborates on which rule was broken (fun fact, I read all the rules, it doesn't break any of them)).

Long story short, the first *hours* of this game follow an extremely slow deliberate pacing recycling almost the same content over and over and over and over. Pacing text at a ridiculously slow one sentence per 3-5+ seconds. I managed to count the number of unique background assets on my fingers before quitting the game and uninstalling because it was so monotonous.

This is most likely deliberately to artificially extend gameplay for legitimate Steam purchasers in order to manipulate the Steam refund system.
