I have to admit I never tried it (because I didn't have to) but what if you loaded some money to your Steam Wallet, changed region and then payed from your wallet? Steam probably wouldn't ask for any address then

I have to disagree with you there.
The problem isn't politicians. Is the type of person that is attracted to politics. They fall in 2 major categories, the Idealists that lose themselves in fights they will never win, and the narcissists that are only in it for personal gain.
The problem is that Idealists rarely compromise and get thrown out fast, and the narcissists compromise way too much with no regards for anyone else but themselves.
In the end, nothing good ever comes from it. But the problem isn't politicians or politics, is the system of choosing the actors, rather than the script.
