Except the dev only backed down via the backlash of the normal majority else they would happily include their preferred fetish else it wouldn't have been suggested in the first place. No one puts cuck shit in their work if they aren't a cuck the same as they don't put scat or bestiality. The themes will most likely shine through.

I'm whatever about ntr as a concept, don't hate it, but don't mind it if its optional (and if it isn't then at least it'll satisfy whoever wants it, not everything needs to cater to me), it does make me wonder about how this game will turn out in the future if a genre that the dev themselves presumably likes gets deleted cuz of community backlash
Seen few devs lose the spark to create when something they need to work on a project that doesn't interest them but interests others, seen some even turn into milkers, hopefully the rest of this game (hopefully a majority amount) still satisfies whatever creative ideas the dev wants to work on.
That being said, ntr shit usually also ties heavily in with some nice corruption/lewd scenes and developments, so hopefully the dev still keeps that part with the normal, now only, route in the game, with the characters getting more and more lewd with the MC instead.
Some of the previews make me hopeful that this will be the case, but also the ones that seem really lewd also seem to be without the MC, which hopefully gets converted to be with him instead of just outright deleted.

What I learned in F95 community is that Harem and NTR don't mix, guys who prefer Harem want the protagonist to be with all the women and don't admit to sharing and are very vocal about that, it makes sense, those who like NTR are not so complaining and accept more variants such as the protagonist having a vanilla route or have sex with other woman.
Well your mistake is listening to the F95 community. I don't want harem and NTR to mix but looking at the top earners someone clearly does. Not supposed to name other games but if you search harem and NTR one of the first games that will pop up is earning over 300k a year from patreon alone.
Devs should make the content that they want to make content for, not every NTR fan hates harem and not every harem fan hates NTR. Creating a game that appeals to a lower percentage of people is worth it if it means both that you aren't going to abandon it and that you're competing against other titles.
Like to be clear I'm happy NTR was cancelled, I just don't think it's a big deal that it was there in the first place beyond it slowing down development time.

The main issue I have with harem-ntr-mixed games is that a lot of them are just NTR games in disguise. Basically the choices players can have are "see NTR content" or "skip NTR content (but without a harem/love scene compensated)", therefore the amount of NTR content is a lot more than the harem ones. Also, in those games, even if you just want to play harem/love route, unfortunately, you are not able to get rid of NTR elements completely, as the same ugly bastards or menacing BBCs will always try to take advantage of your LIs (and in some cases some games literally tout NTR choices for players), which doesn't bode well in my book. So I really don't believe that you can have your cake and eat it too when it comes to mixing harem and ntr, unless you can guarantee a balance between the two, which I find it rare in most of those cases.

thats because harem games have been fucked by technicalities and "bright" ideas/suggestions to include content that does not fit the kink too many times already, so harem fans try to keep their kink clean of shit.
ntr fans eat up everything served cause in general they dont actually care about the story, the game or the dev. as long as they see cocks of any color(they have a preference though) and the ctrl key works, they are fine. I mean, they bitch and moan about vanilla being boring, but their basic games are along the lines of "pathetic beta white mc, hot shy girlfriend/wife/family, black trashy antagonist".
give a 1000 monkeys, typewriters to write a ntr story and you will have 1000 stories.
personally I will let this one go. given the dev's preferences there is bound to be some "technically not" dogshit in this sooner or later.

It says "if you hate NTR, don't choose this route" which heavily implies that it's a choice so I guess we can easily avoid it.
