A few months DOES sound too farfetched for it to not be an April fools prank, and the whole family troubles since December as far as I remember the dude hasn't ever aluded to something like that, so to just use it NOW right on dead line?

BUT if this is true and the delay is truly for a few months, then the 'cry babies' and all the like are 100% right. Then again I've said it a few times already, the only way the dev is getting money out of me is with a steam release so that's why I'm just giving my 2 cents that I'm leaning more for a prank.

He knew the game wouldn't be ready in March, but he hid it to continue receiving his payment. In a way, it's a scam. He's had extensions and extensions since January, and now he comes out at the end of the month to say the update isn't ready. I think he's just stretching it as much as he can to continue his golden goose. I'm really disappointed with this latest news and I think everyone should cancel their subscriptions to see if he's really going to continue with the extensions.

If it turns out to be an April Fool's joke, I think it's in very bad taste.

Having been a Developer of actual video games, both Indie and medium-large Dev studios, WWG has without question, known for quite some time that their release was not on track and could've let the community know. But on the flip-side, they aren't exactly ICSTOR or DarkCookie, so I'm not torn up about it lol. Even factoring in a one-man team relative to the size of the game in animations, writing, etc, a Chapter of this size still would've been completed a long time ago and either released as Beta and use the consumers as play testers, or perform their own QA process, or as the consumers see it "kicking the can down the road" I understand real-life issues and their priorities, but this communication was still handled very poorly, track record or not.

I am disappointed as well, but there are still other games on here for people to try or enjoy and can come back to Power Vacuum when they get around to it, but you shouldn't put all your eggs in a Ren'Py Dev basket. It is what it is. If you have a bad taste and are a supporter, your finances are your own to control and distribute as you see fit and you can rectify that.

We don't know if he for sure if he actually thought he could get it out by the end of this month. He could have thought if he we slept less and worked more, it could be possible and only realizing now that it was not possible. On the 15th he could have still believed it was possible.

The way the game works, it wouldn't be possible. It usually wants you to play up to a certain portain of each girl to unlock more of another girl. it would be impossible to just do all of Cath for example. It would ruin the flow of the story if it's meant to be played with other girls stories in-between/mixed.

I have conflicted feelings on the delay. I've seen life hit people hard and be unrelenting for a period of time, so I get it. If they need to take a step back and take a mental break from it all or take care whatever problems, totally fine with that. But to make the announcement days before your projected release, that is not a great look. That should have been communicated earlier. Hope all ends up being well for them and hopefully it is not longer than two months.

As a spectator, I have witnessed the fascinating speculation and discussion over the past few days.

Is anyone actually surprised by this?? I just said last month how WWG is notorious for missing these timelines, and a certain fanboy in here got so mad and upset over it. Guess what here we are again, he misses yet another timeline. He’s a half-ass worker that you guys shill for because his content is good.

By the way if anyone’s counting this is now the second time he has announced a delay just days before his projected timeline. If you think that’s a coincidence you’re blind. He lies down to the last minute to buy himself time and keep as many pledges as possible. If this is truly a multi-month long delay and not just a really poor taste prank, he’s known there’s zero chance of it finishing for a long long while. Stopped giving this dude money last time he pulled this last minute delay nonsense, I’d recommend you all do the same. Scam artist.

Honestly this seems too stupid to be true... I don't know how he lives, but surely you can't do a FM manager style delay on us as a single person a single day before last release date possible.

I mean, he had been working with this for years with multiple updates. He has too much experience to be that. Honestly if it is true and this game is not released before April 1 ends, then I really feel bad for all people he gaslighted and toyed with in terms of expectations including me this month(Especially those who paid out a lot).
