Fayn was timed out here so that's one of 3 supporters I know of here not being able to participate.

On the discord most people are disappointed but sympathetic to WWG. Also one person confirmed they got their refund so april fools hopium is looking to be dead.

He delays and lies constantly. Stop acting like this is the first time. He waits until the last minute on purpose. Like I said assuming this isn’t a very dumb April Fools joke, he’s known it would be delayed for a long time and kept it to himself purposely until the last day.

Also having the talent and ability to make something good, doesn’t equal a good worker. There are many talented people who are flat out lazy, he has the talent to make an amazing game, in my opinion he’s also a lazy milker and has been for a long time.

That's just an assertion you keep making. That he is a lying lazy scammer without any solid proof to back it up. He has offered refunds to those who subbed just to get the game in March. He gives monthly updates with teasers. Why do you always assume the worst in people? For me all I see is that WWG was hopeful he could make the deadline he set for himself a month back, but life throws things at you out of nowhere at any possible moment. He admits that whatever issue he was having got unexpectedly worse. Again you guys can keep crying that his subs are suckers but I decided a good while back that i was going to stay subbed as long as I am financially able to do so. Even after the full release of PV. So feel free to keep throwing hissy fits because you guys didn't get your way lol

And you believe he didn’t know he was going to miss the deadline by multiple months until two days before that deadline? If i believed that i wouldn't be arguing with you dude. And i get where you and others are coming from, but the only one who knows WWG's true intentions are WWG himself. We give him the benefit of the doubt while you guys choose to be uncharitable as possible calling his supporters chumps essentially for supporting his work that we are just happy to be able to experience.

He literally missed his projected timeline on the last update too lol. And he waited until right before the date (just like this) to announce it. He’s been doing this for a long time. He usually doesn’t give any reason other than he’s bad a projecting how long things take. He used to be very active in this thread until 3-4 updates ago, he missed another timeline (by a lot), got a bunch of backlash, argued with a bunch of people on here then left the website and said he would no longer give deadlines/timelines. Thats why he always waits until just a month of so before release to give any sort of timeline now, then still misses that timeline .

He missed it by a week, he didnt miss it by months. Then the update before that got delayed because his patreon as underreview for breaking Tos.

I never said anything negative about his supporters unless it was someone on here directly attacking me. I gave my opinion, which is I used to be a Patreon and canceled when he did this 3-4 updates ago (same time he left this website) and I would recommend others unsubscribing as well. You don’t need to, it’s your money do what you want, but my recommendation is not to because this is a common occurrence. It’s not like we’re jumping on him over a first time offence, things happen we know that, but he’s done this a lot. And he used to be in here talking crap to people after he did it. He knew this was coming and decided not to share it with anyone until he absolutely had to, to me that is incredibly shady and disrespectful to your supporters. I’ve never met the guy in real life, but from his business practices and his time in this thread, I don’t think he’s a very good guy. That’s my opinion, not a fact.

Meh, I stopped pledging a while ago so I dont care man.

Im not necessarily cracking on the delay, as I said before I expected it, but whats funny to me is the sheer discrepancy between the start of the month and todays status updates, and again ive seen this before, Jackerman promised to release MW3 back in December 2024 its still not out yet, a lot of devs use these marketing ploys to pull in subscribers and try to keep them its part of the job imo, this guy is no different.

To be clear, some people here allude to the update being completed and shelved for dev to make more money before the final chapter releases, I dont think thats the case, at all actually.

So, it could be that some really bad stuff happened like his drive exploded and he lost 50% of his work or something, I cant imagine many reasons which would excuse a misestimation of several months, but it could be a misestimation or straight up intentional so im cracking at it, because I can.

Stop fighting, lets just accept it is what it is. If you pay for the game and is mad.. Unpledge and wait for the game to be uploaded here or ask for a refund. If you don't pay don't complain. Can we discuss about the game instead?

I haven't given support for this game yet, so I don't feel like I have a right to complain about release times, etc... but I would like to say that it's pretty obvious what the dev's intentions are at this point in my opinion. Going from a few months to release a chapter update to an expected year and a half now... games are supposed to become easier to make as the years go by on the same engine / assets due to PC hardware upgrades, dev experience, etc... not more difficult. If he's claiming that he's running into difficulties, it's likely code for un-interest, burnout or something far worse... the word everyone hates seeing at F95... milk. (Also, offering refunds on Patreon doesn't negate milking intentions as the majority of supporters don't even pay attention at all, only pausing donations negate it)

This is the very reason why I very rarely support a dev until the game is either finished or well on it's way to being finished (or the story is so good that I'm ok with the price in the game's current state which is extremely rare).
