Don't worry man just a couple of more months and then you can hit that download button on page 1
Meh, I stopped pledging a while ago so I dont care man.

Im not necessarily cracking on the delay, as I said before I expected it, but whats funny to me is the sheer discrepancy between the start of the month and todays status updates, and again ive seen this before, Jackerman promised to release MW3 back in December 2024 its still not out yet, a lot of devs use these marketing ploys to pull in subscribers and try to keep them its part of the job imo, this guy is no different.

To be clear, some people here allude to the update being completed and shelved for dev to make more money before the final chapter releases, I dont think thats the case, at all actually.

So, it could be that some really bad stuff happened like his drive exploded and he lost 50% of his work or something, I cant imagine many reasons which would excuse a misestimation of several months, but it could be a misestimation or straight up intentional so im cracking at it, because I can.

Stop fighting, lets just accept it is what it is. If you pay for the game and is mad.. Unpledge and wait for the game to be uploaded here or ask for a refund. If you don't pay don't complain. Can we discuss about the game instead?

Who else can't wait to see Drew x Ophelia. How do you think Drew will manipulate Ophelia to get out of the chastity belt?

I haven't given support for this game yet, so I don't feel like I have a right to complain about release times, etc... but I would like to say that it's pretty obvious what the dev's intentions are at this point in my opinion. Going from a few months to release a chapter update to an expected year and a half now... games are supposed to become easier to make as the years go by on the same engine / assets due to PC hardware upgrades, dev experience, etc... not more difficult. If he's claiming that he's running into difficulties, it's likely code for un-interest, burnout or something far worse... the word everyone hates seeing at F95... milk. (Also, offering refunds on Patreon doesn't negate milking intentions as the majority of supporters don't even pay attention at all, only pausing donations negate it)

This is the very reason why I very rarely support a dev until the game is either finished or well on it's way to being finished (or the story is so good that I'm ok with the price in the game's current state which is extremely rare).

It's been about a week since i've had to clear this up, guess it's that time again.

The cycles get longer because the game gets bigger. look at this post and the post i linked in it. it breaks down why updates take longer.

There's nothing Hunter's happy time tea can't fix :HideThePain: i'm still wondering how the hell young Hunter was able to weasel his way in? Did he arrive with or without new Annabelle?

The point you're making is only valid to a small degree. I could very easily direct you to several devs who have been consistently releasing over 1000 render updates (not including animations) in just 4 - 6 months. A year and a half... I'm sorry, but what excuse is there for that?

Fayn was timed out here so that's one of 3 supporters I know of here not being able to participate.

On the discord most people are disappointed but sympathetic to WWG. Also one person confirmed they got their refund so april fools hopium is looking to be dead.
How do I know if you aren't in it too!?!?! /JK

Anyways if what you said is right then yeah, that takes the wind off my sails quite a bit and of fucking course the people should pipe up because it's true this isn't AS bad as the worst from this little corner of the industry but it DOES steps into the 'yeah this is very bad' category.

But while I jest with my first statement, there is a saying in my country 'Hope always dies last' so we still got two days (I think an actual april fools release could be the joke).

This is a fun game, but suffers from character bloat. Narrower focus on Ophelia, Brenna, Catherine, and Lucia with another four or so side girls (max.), and keeping Hunter as the sole antagonist might have allowed this to be completed by now. While I appreciate WWG's talent, I wouldn't be heartbroken if the endings were abbreviated to allow for shift in attention to the next title (hopefully without sandbox!).

Here are all the status update posts from WWG's patreon for the last few chapters. This took me a little while to compile, so hopefully it's of use as a reference:

I will admit there's a pattern in the updates so far this year which does not instill confidence. I will continue to support WWG at this time, but I am concerned to say the least.

IDK if anyone noticed but there is another thing I don't get I don't know if it's another lie or maybe Iam getting things wrong.

In his latest status update, he said things were slowing down since December, but in the status before that, he literally said this

(( I'll let you know if anything comes up. I've been working non-stop on the update and my brain feels like I've taken a cheese grater to it. ))

How come he was working non stop on the update then he's back saying things were slowed down this shit drives me crazy.

I know we all make mistakes sometimes, but this is just a straight-up fat lies at this point, Again a delay by a week or even two would have been fine things happen I get it, But when you were saying you were working hard and it's coming in a couple of days then suddenly saying I wasn't working hard and it's not coming before a couple more month's is so disrespectful towards fans and people who trusted him.

Story gets longer so update gets longer. I don't see what's difficult about that. Lots of games only update once a year. There is nothing rare or odd aboout this one for doing so. The earlier chapters updated much faster because they were so much shorter.

It's fine to dislike that it takes longer but I don't understand calling everything and I mean everything milking just because it takes longer than you ant.

Purely speculating here but WWG leaves writing until last and given the expected size of the update that could be a big issue. It already takes a long time based on last update but so much at once could be draining/ cause writers block.

i think the most concerning part (for me at least) is it goes from possible this month to a few months. Maybe they just want to give it a large window so people dont get antsy until the release is more final. either way back to waiting, plenty of other games to play till then.

This doesn't make sense. He gets a refund less than 24 hours after request for refund even though the post said 5-7 days, and when banks are closed. Even if he used a credit card it still takes a couple of days. I worked retail and had to do card refunds and they are never this quick.
